Looking for a particular bus-stop

So I'm looking for a bus stop that is also a road piece and/or a street piece. I've found a couple, but the problem is that they make the zone that is touching it not have any "road access".. so I'm looking for one that works as road access/road & a bus stop.

Thanks!

As far as I know, those (the RTMT pieces) are the only such on-road stops, and they do not allow residential zoning. You shouldn't have a problem with commercial or industrial though ;)

Not really much help, but that's what I know. Good luck!

With RTMT bus stops you can place them over a residential zone as long as the zone is 2 tiles wide, so unfortunately you will have to zone then wait for the zone to be occupied by a 2x2 house and then only place the bus stop, this will work out fine, but unfortunately 2x2 houses are usually occupied by wealthier sims who rarely take the bus to work.

I downloaded side street bus stops that includes a park built on to it and then just place that between my residentials on the main streets, looks great and saves some minor park placements :)

There are some alternatives, but they have the same problem. Seems they block the pathfinder. The best solution is to place on-road stops on the corner "beside the lot" where the arrows don't point.

Yes, that's right. On-road lots and residential development are mutually exclusive. It's a general technical limitation, and unless this limitation itself can be overcome somehow, you can look for alternatives all you want.

However, it would be perfectly possible to make a bus stop with overhanging buildings/props that is placed next to a road, but the buildings would appear on the road.

All "road-top" stations, including the ingame tollbooths do block access of the lots immediately behind them, unfortunately. This is hard-coded into SC4, and cannot be fixed with modding (it would require changing the game's source code, which we do not have).

There are several workarounds though, based on that the (RCI) lots do have road acceess, if ANY part of the lot contacts with a road (whether at the front, at the back or at the side). Among others, you can zone larger lots, place the station parallel to the zones direction, or just next to an intersection etc. Check the readme for details and pics.
