The highlighted text should be as wide as the picture. If it isn't, hold down the right control key and scrooll with the mouse scroll wheel until the text is the same size. I've noticed it cam be a bit wide in IE. It should look like this:

I disagree, I am not the first person to try this and it makes things much easier when trying to make your signature i.e less restrictions with forum rules and HTML. I showed the admins it and they liked it and I plan to make a tutorial on easy ways of hosting your signature's off site.

vid: yes, the text is a bit wider than the image. However, changing the browsers text display size doesn't 'fix' it, since just about every bit of text on Simtropolis is unaffected by said setting. I also fail to see how it would really fix the look anyway, since it looks ike the issue isn't text size, but character spacing. The font in your image is also different from the one in your sig.

 

EDIT: In firefox, the spacing is as you say it should be. However, the font still isn't the same as the one in your image. Dunno what's up with that...
