Where the hell are all the water mods? For that matter, where is anything on this dang website anymore? I type in water, or water mod, and I get a hundred results that have nothing to do with water mods...

It's not just water, either... I type in "Peg" and I get a hundred forty four results on everything but...

What gives?

Ok, first of all... welcome! second... please, when seeking for help, post yor questions in a suitable tone for the readers... its not very encouraging to help someone that is refering to everything in a very aggresive way.

That said, look for drunkapple's water mods, I believe those are the best, and have a variety so that you can choose one that suits your city

I believe the search function is based on keywords; onmes that not everyone uses to their potential. As a member of this site for years now I understand how frustrating it is to find things.

Theres a list with terrain and water mods as well as many others that may be of use. I'm unsure of how often these are updated so newer mods may not be on those lists.

I find that it's much easier to search the STEX by using Google. Go to Google and type in what you're looking for, and then add site:Simtropolis.com/files to the end of your search.

Everyone except the administration knows the STEX Search sucks, and the administration so far has blocked every attempt to greatly improve the situation. There was a project devised about six months ago to go through and properly tag the entire STEX, with 20 people working on it doing 20 uploads a day, I believe the estimate was that it'd be done in a matter of a few months, and the STEX Moderators just flat-out said 'no' because they didn't want to give a few people the permissions to edit files.

The Moderators have even gone onto ridiculing how the Google Plugin search performed and touting this one as 'better'.

I'd recommend using Google itself and adding the site: parameter as recommended above.
