I like the idea of the olympic village, and how the road network submerges underneath it. Keep up Ring City - its a very clever idea and is working really well!

This is reminding me about the Ring City that SC3KU had as one of those playable cities(I think there was two of them). This is getting good everytime.

    Nice.

I did a similar concept in SimCity 3000 called Octavia. It happened because I was trying to copy the Metropolis city that came with the game. Concentrated high density commercial in the center with residential in the middle rings and industrial in the outer rings.

    Keep up the good work!

The Olympic Ring is great - I have used the Roda JC stadium as well in Norwich. If someone could change the black seating to green - I could pass it as Norwich City's stadium......

Heres an Update after a long long long time, the city has grown quite a bit since last time and most of the communications infracstructure is complete, having 6 rings composed by two highways and 4 grand Avenues, first, some pics of the region, some parks have grown Rail stations have been built, the Main one being the St Michaels Cross in South Ring. Most of the growing have come from the suburbs, all of wich are composed by Mid density/idealbb/files/Ring

And now some update on Ring Town, in wich a lot more buildings has come up from the ground9.gif

The inner island is almost full, but the industry is yet to be outedof it, but that one is going to be verry hard, and the cities sourrounding Ring Town can't grow much more. Each city is half high density and half medium density, almost all residential, and each contains more than 500.000 people, so i don't think they'll develop much more. One other thing i forgot to show you is this pic, wich shows the transportation graphics of Ring Town.

    /idealbb/files/Ring
The three upper lines are for pedestrian, subway and bus, notice how in Ring Town there is almost no car usage comparing to the subway (half a million) and the bus, this i thinks can show you a bit of how the city functions and how the commute is.

Thanks for the compliments to all. I know it has gotten quite a bit large in extention, thays because of the city's zoning plans, being higher towards the middle and smaller as it expands, one of the latest expansions is this town i've called Litle Paris, mainly because part of the town is a recreation of a classical parisian neighborhood with the wonderfull buildings by Porkissimo and Xannepan44.gif, with a litlle touch of imagination placing gardens, canals and an austrian palace3.gif.

Ps.: The airport lots i used are all in the RH Airport Pack by Joerg, and yes it includes all the items. Thanks to Joerg btw29.gif.

Of course the main problem for this city is the money, cause all the parisian buildings are landmarks and they dont get taxed, so i'm currently on same labels of expenses and income, so in the end of the month i dont get money, but at least im not expending more than what i get

Wow! I big city, with culture. I love Little Paris. It has a big city feel in some areas and in others its very original, much like many European cities.
It might possible be one of the fastest growing cities Ive seen, with a good infrastructure.

Well guys, not sure wat to do next, I was thinking of making like a cipple of sattelite cities, so the Region would be composed by three large cities (a Megalopolis) connected by the suburbs, so te suburbs of one city are the suburbs of the others.....

Another idea would be to simply leave it at there and only try to improve the cities that allredy exist by plopping parks, communications and stuff...

If you guys have more ideas, please let me know, or tell me wich of the ideas you like most, about the region or the CJ

    Thanks to all
