Has anyone actually signed up for the newsletter and if so have you obtained any useful information? I would just like to ask because I was thinking about signing up but having to obtain origin and the fact that EA never seems to let Maxis put out any useful and new information is holding me back.....So??????

Hi Arabguy,

Why wont you just sign up and find out? If you get junk that you dont want from EA you can always unsubsribe (bottom of newsletter) I think Maxis post the most usefull information in the blog and now also on SimCity inside (http://www.simcity.com/en_US/insider/blog) On their facebook page they have some fun pictures (from GamesCom and whatnot) and on twitter they say where they put new information about the game. Didnt see any tweet about the newsletter. If a newsletter contains realy usefull info people would post it also forums. But again, sure if you want just sign up yourself for the newsletter.

There hasn't been much info released on the Simcity Insider page yet, but you can probably expect to see more soon. I set the Simcity desktop wallpaper they have available there as my background, I like it!

I haven't actually been able to sign up. When I click on the sign up button, no email box comes up and it keeps telling me to enter an email... Has anyone else had the same issue? I've tried more than one browser.

Signed up a few days ago; no new or special info yet. You do not have to install the Origin client on your computer to be a SimCity Insider. You give the same information to EA as you do to any other website requiring you to register.

Hello Maxis MD guy, its Nice to see that your company is around on the site. I don't want to offend you or anything of the sort but what's up with the small amount of information you guys are posting about the game. Is it that you can't or is it that there is nothing else to tell, because i have been hearing the same "Expect more stuff for the future" sentence with either very little or very unsatisfactory results. I understand the need to build up hype for the game but, in my sincerest opinion your going a little bit overboard with it and scaring some some of the fans that loved the previous renditions away. The answers you have been giving out the same vibe as well. Although i do hold the belief that all information on a game shouldn't be given away before the release I am just afraid that a beloved franchise of mine will go down the toilet.

We still have 6 months till the release of the game, of course they wont tell us everything now. They have to keep people interested, so they give a little info from time to time, till the release of the game. What do you expect? Have you seen a company that tells you everything about their game half year before the release?

And i have said that in my statement, its just that the hype is becoming quite irritating......scratch that very irritating. Much of the information they have given has just been a let down. That's probably because the first SC game i ever played was SC4, which makes this game seem lacking, but still quite a let down

I know, I also can't wait for more info (and by more info I don't mean "look, we have curvy roads!" ), and more importantly, gameplay videos, but I know we wont get more info even if we beg them All we can do is wait...
