config.bmp, What causes it to get deleted after some time?

config.bmp in your regions folder gets deleted after some time. Regions will still work perfectly but I have always wondered why the game deletes the file.

There's a risk your cities will be deleted if you edited the config.bmp but it's the player's risk. So what causes the game to delete the file?

are you sure about that I just checked my regions folder for my oldest region and the config was still there....

ummm your going to have to explain this a little more so I can understand what your talking about.

config.bmp is missing. Region works perfectly but I find it strange the config.bmp disappears.

It shouldn't because honestly, the game depends on the config file to properly map out where all the city tiles are. this was a bit harder than I thought. can i see some photo's of the folder were the config is missing and an in game shot of that same region

I still have the unmodified config.bmp from the Timbuktu region. Are you sure that it is missing; or just lost it in the mess of other city files?

You also may want to check your recycle bin, in case the game really did delete it.

Nope region works perfectly. Is it just normal for the file to disappear especially if you have established cities?

No. It's not normal. In fact, you seem to be the only one having the problem.
