Help with Nightlighting buildings

Hi guys, i need somebod to help me with this, i have downloaded a lot of buildings and all of them dont have nightlights, anybody can help me???

Did you also install the SC4Update4BAT patch? That one specifically addresses the night light issue.

If you think you have installed all the required patches, you can check the properties of the game's exe file (in the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps folder) for the version number. It should be 1.1.640.0 if everything was successfully patched.

That is the basic SC4. None of the published patches are in the exe.

You do realize that the patches are not plugins, but executables that you must run, I hope?

If you have any illegal patches (not published by EA), none of the published patches will take effect.

Since you have 1.1.610.0, you'll probably need SKU1...

when i install the SC4Update4BAT says:

Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match.

Did you install the SKU1 patch first? Check your exe again. If the SKU1 patch was successful, it should read 1.1.638.0. If not, then something else is keeping it from updating, such as the wrong patch or you have used game files other than those that came on the CD.

Alternatively, you could download SimFox's Day n' Nite mod and you will not need 1.1.640. If you download the Steam edition, you will have a fully patched game. That is strange. Did you have all the updates beforehand? Is your copy legal?

Rather than Steam, which wants you to log in to their site each time you play you would be better advised to pick up a new copy of the game from either Amazon or GamersGate. No strings attached and you get version 1,1,641, fully patched and ready to go (after installation) and it runs diskless.

Remember to save the software installer folder after the download is complete.

my copy is legal, i buy it through amazon it costs me 14.99$ cuz in my town doesnt sell this game so i buy it in amazon

Hmmm, depending on where it comes from it needs a different installed. When I got SC4, it took me 6 months to realize that because I bought it off Amazon, where it came from the USA, I downloaded the American version and nightlights worked. I was downloading the Asia/ Pacific version the whole time!

Well, you should then have version 1,1,641 which is fully patched and ready to go. You need apply no patches to this, and it will run without a disk in the drive (if it is the digital version, no disks).

There should be no night-lights problem with custom content buildings that have night lights. This is a set of hand springs for the BAT builder, and if they are not done, no lights. There are many buildings on the STEX that have none.

Now, the question is do you have night lights on any buildings at all? Start your city and force night mode by pressing F6. Wait a few minutes, and see if Maxis buildings light, and some custom buildings light. If that is the case you also have some unlighted buildings.

If you have the digital download version an no night lights, then you have some incompatible plugin. This you have to find for yourself by testing each plugin until you find the culprit.
