Growing HKBats

Are there any good threads, articles w/e on how to consistently grown the big HK residential bats? I have a gotten a few to grow, but its more luck than anything else. And If I have to doze any of them for w/e reason, good luck getting them to regrow ever again. Whats more, there seem to very few sources that actually talk about what to do to make them grow. The smaller growable HK tower packs grow like weeds in my cities, the big ones.....not so much. Are demand mods necessary, or is there some other trick? Tired of zoning for them and running for hours on end, only to see the zoned lot as empty as ever.

Try zoning the proper size of the intended BAT, and avoid zoning 2x2/1x2 high density, since the pencil towers grow at that size. Most HKBT BATs come in large, propietary lots(10x3, 10x4, 8x6, etc), which is the reason why it won't grow in normal(4x2, 4x3, 3x3) lots. Since the smaller HK towers are extremely dense, they will crash demand and demand doesn't instantly rise after bulldozing something.

Ok, that sounds like an idea. How about this. Remove the HK tower and pencil packs for now, demolish any standing ones, zone for the larger bats, see what happens?

I'm afraid that without further information, nobody will be able to help.

Nobody knows what BATs you are even talking about, nobody knows what you tried in order to get them to grow, and nobody knows what your cities look like and how big these cities (and the region population) are.

I would just plop them but I'm lazy and for the most part not entirely sure of the HKBAT sizes as I have so many of them installed lol... I also have a boat load of Japanese buildings that I cant get to grow apart from one that pops up all over the place like weeds. Some of the HKBATS also have large commercial demand requirements (I think), for example the International Commerce Centre so you will need high demand for some of them.

Please specify also what level of game you have.  If your version is less than 1,1,638 no BATs should grow at all.
