Help with airport functionality

    Hi guys, i think you all yesterday watch my international airpot,well i need some help.

    This is the first i need:

    Waht you all guys like with airports but with maxis lots, How to do my airport functional, and how to put dependencies on it

    If you all can help me i will be thankful forever

    You can use SimWings Airport Pack, it looks quite dated but its actually functional, it will serve its purpose as a 'domestic' terminal of sorts. It also includes the Airport Tram, which basically makes non-functional ACE-VLT airports functional, where it would work as a 'parking lot' type of stuff. Other than that there are ATC towers included as well. I suggest you use the RMIP pack since the taxiways and runways are dated and unrealistic.

    The old Show us your airport.... thread, in its middle pages, has some SWAP terminals with RMIP taxiways.

    If you want a more modern pack, the BSC has their own {Functional Airports} set that is backwards compatible with the SWAP (it includes all the stuff within it). Some of the included airports also have upgrades.

    Keep in mind that there are some really strict rules to having any custom functional airports and seaports in your cities, and if you don't install it right (or have incompatible downloads together) you will corrupt your cities.

    yea, i have made an airport two days ago, it wasnt functional, so i want to make it functional here is the airport link:

    If you want to make your airport functioning, when you open LE, clicking on 'replace building' and searching for 'airport' will return International Airport. Place this wherever you want it to. Stats will be the same as the respective Maxis Airport and the stage that came in with the airport, making it functional.

    If I was you though, I'd rather NOT upload it, this is no longer 2003-2004 era before there were many good BATers, when people still slammed Maxis buildings together to make a building. The old Show us your airport... thread shows the development of airports from joerg's set all the way to the current ACE-VLT. A remarkable contrast, really.

    To put dependencies on it, download the dependencies and place them on your lot. To know which prop belongs to which set, the NUTS team at BSC has a Prop & Texture index that comes in handy for me as I can track and lower my dependency count, which props are necessary and which props are useless.

    You also need to count the runway length in, since a tile is 16x16m, a semi realistic runway would need around 800m or 50 game tiles, to make it somewhat realistic in some way, which the LE or LE-X can't(the newer LE-X has a limit of 31 tiles) If you look at my CJ, the runway goes all the way to the next tile so larger planes can land there. A lot of airports in the Show us your Airports threads have runways occupying entire medium or even large tiles.

    This is the reason why there are airport packs, each airport would have a significantly different characterand it also makes it easier for the LOTters, as they don't have to intricately place props around a really large lot, while being realistic at the same time.

    Certain CJers, like me, have worked around this 'eyecandy' issue by placing a functional SWAP as an old terminal, a domestic terminal or as a parking lot(Airport Tram), near the airport.
