1. Dirk the ultimate Dirktator

2. Yes, of course. He lurks in the far dark corners of ST and only comes out when he has too. Nah..just kidding. 9.gif

3. err...umm...yes lots of people know that dirk is the webmaster. Especially the older members.

You gotta remember that people have lives around ST...and as a wise person once said...

Well, the key to life is balance.

Well, I'm on here every day, and I see things... sooner or later....

He won't hit 39 for a while.   As opposed to those of us who haven't seen 39 in a while. 18.gif

Whenever I think of dirk, I either think of his avatar or some japanesse guy that has no life, lives in a basement, his only freinds are from the internet and lives in a shabby apartment that he has dificulty paying the rent.

No offence intended, of course! 17.gif

He diden't force us to make this site, he made it himself. He is a hero because you have to be very good at Microsoft Front Page e.t.c and use a lot of money to make this sort of thing a reality.

Yea, dirk is the one. Without him, this site would be nothing.
    And he's 29 years old!

Not to take anything away from dirk, but there are other people without whom this site would have been nothing. Two that stick in my mind are:

rybolton who (correct me if I'm wrong) created the original SimGolf website where dirk first showed up, and later became an administrator.
Some bloke at simgames.net who shut down his server for several months. This led SimCityCentral.net, then much larger and with a bigger rep than SimTropolis, to go through much downtime before they finally rehosted on Whaddu. By that time, SimTropolis had seized the initiative and grown by leaps and bounds; since then inertia has set in.
ralphaelninja who led the exodus of talent from SimCity.com and was a critical founder of the Modd Squad, making SimTropolis practically the center for the English-speaking world for SimCity 4 custom content. This, afaicr, also coincided with the SCC downtime.

I put e.t.c there for a very good reason.49.gif And instead of guessing why don't you ask him.2.gif

Can peaple not start spaming that front page sucks either becuae its beyond the point and I have seen nothing wrong with it when I am using it.21.gif

Yes dirk could not have done without help from the curent admins and other staff members as well as it members which are the heart of the site itself.9.gif

I very much doubt that he uses Frontpage. Mainly because, it sucks. I'm pretty sure he used Dreamweaver.
