Hi, a long time ago I found a fix for the opera house as appearantly it messed up demands somehow. Now yesterday i also found a fix for the spaceport, as appearantly it did not provide the high-tech boost it's said to do in game.

I was wondering if there any more of such fixes or if these are the only 2

I don't know that the Opera House fix has anything to do with demand. It fixes the dying slider bug. I know nothing about the other fix.

The private schools have low capacities, something that can also be fixed

And there is N.A.M. that fixes a lot of traffic bugs

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

As far as "mandatory" game fixes are concerned, here are some items that I consider essential:

The default Maxis Opera House does not affect demand directly, but could result in diminished desirability leading to a shift in population wealth types. This is due to the fact that it is a functional educational facility, but the query makes it appear as little more than a landmark. If the population of a city gets high enough, the Opera House will go over capacity and produce a negative impact on the city's EQ. This will cause the wealthy population to move out and be replaced by medium- and low-wealth residents. prevents this from happening. Be sure to read the ReadMe file -- you have to do some bulldozing before implementing it.

The same issue occurs with the default Maxis Private Schools. as mentioned by terring. Again, read the ReadMe and bulldoze the old Private Schools before installing the mod and re-plopping them. Use the in-game signposts to remind yourself where they were in your cities.

Cougar2004's adds the High-Tech boost that Maxis neglected to include.

You can offered by Maxis buildings. This does not alter industrial buildings you've downloaded.

You won't have to use up so much real estate for commercial services if you This also applies only to Maxis buildings, not custom content.

If you use your Route Query Tool on R$$$ buildings and follow the path of the residents to their workplaces, you will notice that they do not work in High-Tech industry as they should. You can correct that with but just installing it is not enough. The mod alters the RCI exemplar, leading to a further glitch if you don't

Tropod's allows you to drag larger tracts of RCI zoning.

"This zone is too small." Similar in purpose to the Zoning Mod, the allows you to assign individual tiles of agricultural zones. This is great for making diagonal and oddly-shaped farms. It is important to re-name the file by prefixing it with two z's so that it loads after the Zoning Mod, if you use them together. Otherwise, the Zoning Mod will cancel out the IR Placement Mod.

I've never seen real-world crops wither and die because too many cars drove by. The prevents that from happening in SimCity4.

The adds some useful features to some of the data view overlays and tweaks the Mayor Rating graph.

makes your graphs more informative. I now use an improved version included with Cogeo's Use of the incinerator is not required to use Cogeo's updated version of the graph mod.

The provides some insight into your city's demand caps. It will not work on lots with a custom query.

There are several other mods without which I never start the game, but most are described, and linked-to, in LivinInSim's The only other thing I'd consider "mandatory" is better transit stations, but that's a whole different thread and is very open to personal tastes. Just pick the ones you like and learn how to modify them to best suit your needs.

You forgot the City Hall Fix, it's a mod which replaces a prop at the front of the City Hall lots so it doesn't use a rather buggy Maxis prop family and do things like this:
