Our mission is to BAT local and reigonal chains of stores, supermarkets, and restraunts, so users can make their towns feel more local. The team mostly aims at BATing US and European chains however.

I think, not just about something like BATing, but for anything that you want to promote or get people involved with, is that you want to be in as visible and highly trafficked place as possible. I think the only exception is for people who already have a lot of respect and interest from the community, so much that they'll change their routine to go out of their way to follow you, but very few people have that, and even the ones that do probably couldn't draw very many visitors. So I personally think it would be the best if the bulk of your updates were somewhere that SimCity people already frequented.
