Thank you for that link to those videos. Great style :D

Not to mention they used Israels version of over the rainbow. Sigh, such a great guy.

^ Saw that one a year ago. Must say that is amazing, and if the game actually utilizes this technique realistically, it will be a great game.

I have always loved models of real life, so naturally tilt shift photography is a favorite of mine. If this is how they make SC5, I would really like that. Here's another Video and a way to make your own tilt shift photos :)

The concert shots in Sam OHares's Coachelletta were really nice, can't wait to see what SimCity's take will be on that.

With this kind of stuff around, they've got a big plate to eat. That stuff is fantastic.

What a strange & unusual photographic style, seen it before many times & it still makes me stop & smile when I see it, makes the world into a surreal like dream

I can't help but laugh when I saw the hand. Cool vid! Though I personally prefer that Maxis doesn't emulate it for SC, or else it might look overly done and cheesy like the Japanese SC DS boxart. Still, really nice effect for use in real scenes. :thumb:

Tilt shift photography will probably be the look of the game in its lowest graphics setting (low LOD, low field of view, and no atmospheric affects) with antialiasing on.

Photorealism on a Cities XL to Anno 2070 and SimCity trailer scale might be the Ultra High settings. Ultra high settings in SimCity Societies is best showcased in my perspective shot.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11
