  1. 3D model editing is still a long way away. I've looked into the RW4 model files many times, but it'll take someone smarter than me to figure those out. Replacing textures might be possible soon-ish, though. Trust in yourself. You're enough smarter to publish a mod tool.
  2. @Oppie: Any ETA about the possibility to export/import meshes from packages and use them in 3ds Max? By the way, Great work!
  3. SC5 looks like SC4 (because of his old engine) ie at half way between a realistic style et cartoonish style. That's a good point for me.
  4. SimCity: Gameplay

Time to make sure you have an assured copy of SC4, well backed up. What this looks like from those articles is that the new release is a jacked up Sims game. It is confirmed that each Sim starts anew each day and is unemployed. When he goes to bed each night, it is the big bucket in the recycle bin for him. Not said, but implied, no night time mode at all. If I wanted to play an All-in-Together-Girls My Sim, this is what I would get. It is starting to look like simulating the Sims is the be-all, end-all of this game with the overtones of city play in the background. There was a definite declaration of a cap of 200K Sims. There is also an implication of a single (medium?) city size, and that it is fixed. If this is true, we have a case of people who are not up to what Maxis was in the past. The society has been dumbing everything down, so here you are. I don't find it surprising that GlassBox is no bigger than a breadbox. Troll spotted! I doubt that you've read the reviews. You're totally wrong : SC5 seems to be a SC4++ when I read them.

This one is good too: http://vimeo.com/28985614
  6. SimCity: Gameplay

Ah OK. Does it seem a little early to anyone here to be posting system requirements for a game that doesn't release until next year, or am I wrong? I guess they can always make adjustments later... I'm actually surprised how "low" the minimum requirements are! I'm sure it would be much nicer on a gaming rig, but my core i3 laptop with integrated graphics could actually play SC5? If so, that's a pleasant surprise. Yes, you'll be able to play it but in "Sim City Original" mode :
  7. SimCity: Gameplay

Yeh! SC5 looks like SC4 but much more beautiful. Now, I expect to get a new complex Sim City game, not like the crappy SC Societies.
