Um... could someone explain to an arcologies n oob... exactly what are we talking about?

Yeah kind of, but on a much larger scale. Its the idea of combining architecture and ecology to create a massive habitat of high density population. Think of it as a self sustainable city, but confined to the appearance of one building. The goal for people designing arcologies at the moment is to be able to hold around a million people, so its one massive building, However funding and demand isn't quite there yet. So, Say, you live on one level, work on another, your food is grown and cultivated on the upper levels, and you buy this on another floor.

The ones in SC2000 were much smaller, with the one shown having a population of 65,000
