Excellent! SIMTROPIA HAS RETURNED! I love how you did the farms (but who doesn't?!). You've changed the face of the game completely and thousands of people have had their game completely changed thanks to ideas from your CJ and your contributions to the STEX

Gracias, jeronij!

    Hello dear Simtropia visitors !!!

Again a BIG THANKS TO ALL for the nice replies 44.gif !!!

mightygoose, thanks for the info !!!

vester_DK, thanks for the welcome and the feedback !!!

aleking & bourneid, I am so glad that two of the "best of the best" CJrs do find the SSM so nice and useful 43.gif 17.gif !!!!

sorchin, I understand what you mean about the building foundations, but I am trying to take advantage of them, instead of "suffering" them in this game.  For that farm, I wanted it look like this, because there was not enough space when it was build. The same ( or something very similar would happen in RL as well.  I´ll appreciate your suggestion, but this time I wont bulldoze nothing 2.gif

PDQAg,  it is nice to know that SCR has some active readers !!! I hope not too many pics are missing already....I havent been there for a while 43.gif

Menotyou, it is not that hard, you can make a BIG square, and then use the bulldoze farming area tool to "cut" it and give it another shape.

    owenluby, you´re welcome 9.gif

jacqulina, your comments are always greatly appreciated, thanks amiga 44.gif !!!

Nik-nik, nice to see you again my friend, it is a pity your shortness of time, but better a little bit that nothing at all. Thanks for your visit and I wish you and yours the best (btw,  how´s Pim going 2.gif ?¿ 2.gif

dedgren, always a pleasure to see you amigo, and i am glad you dont mind 2.gif !!!

ExiL3, yes, those roundbouts are very useful !!!

Sagrel, nice to see you again, and thanks for your great feedback 44.gif !!!

Yoman3, yes, it is a pity the TM Bridge delay, but so does it work .... About the rural paths, ( as I call them) are simple ( but effective) LE lots with some random trees and the Maxis stone walls ( wich are slope conforming, and fit well in those hills  2.gif 2.gif, and a rural path texture ( not sure if it is a Maxis one or a 3rd party one). Mines are not in the STEX, but I think you can find a PEG´s ones very similar to those.

WorfoSAUR, I use my own Dirty streets mod for my cities which is available in the STEX here.

Gaston, I am glad you will keep an eye on this CJ 9.gif

Micah, nice to see you again !!! and thanks for the feedback .

IdeaWorld,crazychickensc12,st louis dude,Alfred.Jones,bat,eggie99,toxicpiano,Tommy_Vercetti3,  people, thanks for all those lovely posts and support words . Nice to see old and new friends in Simtropia 44.gif !!!

Before I leave, time for some pics. Not exactly an update, and not exactly rural 10.gif ....

    49.gif

This is an experimental city I was developing yesterday, with two main objectives in mind:

First, I tried to make a city with a 95% of sloped streets/roads. (100 % would be too much consuming for me)

Second, I wanted to test my recently updated plugins folder, with 1.5GB of the best stuff available

So, dont expect to see many details in this city The main design is quite simple, some streets, a road and zoning. The minimum schools and recreational facilities, but lots of R and C buildings !!!.

I mainly wanted to see the new available buildings and how the sloped streets/roads would look like, knowing all the problems with the building foundations on non flat terrains.

Said that, time for the pics.

Think of them like a "divertimento"  17.gif !!!

Next "regular" update as soon as posible  !!!!

Note: btw, the city has developed a little bit more since those pics, and I bulldozed most of those Maxis blue med Coms. There are +500.000 sims living in that city, which is half a BIG city tile. Those are more sims that SCR and Simtropia togheter 47.gif !!! If some of you want to see more pics on this experimental city, just let us know 2.gif

jasperdeman, nice to see you again, I know, I know, the slope city is weird, but it sometimes I feel the need to simply turn the speed on, and sit and look how the buildings grow....like the first time I played this game.....nostalgy perhaps 2.gif?¿ I hope this last pic is more interesting for you....

SpecialEddie ,thanks for your kind words amigo, very nice from you !!!

mightygoose, my plufins folder is plenty of mods 3.gif !!!

Nice looking bridge. Isn't one of those extra bridges release some time ago, the ones on your sig? And those rocks under the bridge, white and green ones, do they have a name? I'm looking for those for quite some time, but only found those from the flora mod and a massive one that "floats" in the air 42.gif

I think you'll be pleased to know jeronij that only a few pics are missing from the first few pages of SCR, and after that they are all there.44.gif  I keep reading a few pages a day so I should be done with that journal soon and will start on this one.  From the random pages I have clicked on so far I cannot wait to watch how it all developed and where you will take the journal from here.

    Take care,

    Hey there jeronij,

Very, very kool bridge.    You have the neatest stuff "in the works".     I love seeing the fantastic things you have.     I personally can't even seem to place your rural sunken highway walls right.    I was playing with them tonight and the straight pieces wouldn't show anything on the slopes.   I got fences and lamp post but no concrete wall.    Come to think of it that wasn't really your's but buddybud's add ons to your walls.    I just had a hard time placing the corners to your's so they looked right.   Oh well, I'll keep playing around with um till I figure out what I am doing wrong.   19.gif

Thank you so much for sharing you cities with us.   I really can't tell you how inspirational it is to see a master at work.

Hey! That's your custom bridge! It looks awesome. I personally think that is much more detailed than those Maxis bridges. It's about time we get more variety for bridges. 2.gif

we're the best of the best....i dont know about AK...but I say.."shot, man" With one journal well over 100 pages....and the second well on its way....you claim the top spot. Your journal I believe is one of the most refrenced journal when I comes to "I saw this in (journal name) and though it was cool so I gave it a try"

I have even done so myself....  I think the greatest compliment....thant can be given to a journalist is "you taught me alot" or "I learned so much from your work". And you my friend...have taught me and I am sure alot of others alot.

so please continue to inspire, and teach.

Your freedom is the most expensive thing you have, even if you arn't the one that paid for it... Use it well.

Leave it upto Jeroni to come up with something new. A very lovely slope affect. Not too much as to cause the lots to look unrealistic, but just enough to create a beautifil slope.

Is that one of your bridges my friend? Very nice mate.

    Take care..

    Wow Jeronij,

Slope city is nice. Do you not use that Mod to put all the Maxis files in the Chicago building style? (can't remember the name).

That rail road bridge is one of the best bridges I have ever seen!

That tree on top of the tunnel is something else, although I must say I have seen big trees growing on top of tunnels (near Duesseldorf Zoo in Germany).

    Pim is doing great!

He had his surgery 7 weeks ago and is now talking our ears of. He has undergone a miraculous change. He is doing great at school in fact right now he is in a performance on the circus  theme. I think he is an elephant. Alas I cannot be there I am bound to stay at work (no holidays left anymore.

Any positive progress on your son?

    Have a great weekend

And indeed the last shot was a bit more interesting, to say the least! That bridge is awesome!

wow u have really done it this time a mountain watefall

spawning off the edge of the snow pack is something i have

tried numerous times and failed to achieve the efffect you have

I just love that pic, and the overall implementation.

you are one the few people who can create something so

unreal looking it makes me wonder if it is still the same game.

    Alek

ooh one more thing is your street side mod compatible with the rural streets

i see you are using the dirt streets around your farms.
