okay, this would be a creepy thing to see on an ultrasound

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a halloween prank. But, if so, it's a good one.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

That is indeed quite creepy, and odd.

This is like the "face" on Mars. It's just the shadows doing funny things.

Also worth noting that, unlike what most people might first think when they hear "ultrasound", that is not a fetus. It is a tumor of testicular cancer.

This is called pareidolia, the phenomenon of seeing or hearing things that only appear to be there. The ultrasound just happened to appear in a way that makes us see a face when there isn't one.

The human brain is programmed to seek out and recognize faces because that is how we identify each other, so it is very common to see faces in things like this.
