Pazin (Croatia) - 3 arc resolution

You may say I spend my whole mapping time in Croatia...!

Happy Valley, Goose Bay (Canada, Labrador) - 0.75 arc resolution

Another request from aspireman :

Jackson (Iowa) - 0.33 arc resolution

Some other high resolution stuff to come, so stay tuned !

Hi again gentlemen,

The mapping machine is gently running and provides two more maps :

Saint-Tropez, french riviera - France (3 arc second resolution)

Montgomery - West Virginia (1/9 arc resolution)

EDIT : map rendered and uploaded on the STEX (I couldn't resist)

Those maps This map just entering the waiting room now... ...and another bunch of tiles to render !

But I have a problem of uploading the sc4m file into the sc4terraformer... I upload it and it's shown as a big plain!

How can I upload that map out of the cs4m file into the game and play it already as it should be played?

Good morning gentlemen,

Some more requested maps are running gently : I'm actually working on Miass map (Russia, 3 arc second resolution) and also finally edited a Canberra map, requested by City_Master.

This australian map is at 1 arc second resolution (thanks to Drunkapple ). I would have liked to edit rivers and lake there, but elevations were so different between the various spots of water that I finally felt impossible to draw water lines. So the map is at real life elevation (between 397 and 1504 meters above sea level) :

Map is centered on the Canberra main lake, easily spotable as completelly flat. Googong reservoir is also there, on the lower right corner.

Map is now joining the queue, in front of the "rendering tiles" office... ...so please be patient !

Great work on Canberra! Amazing! The elevation is tricky for the lakes and rivers, but it looks great!

Could I suggest you of making any maps of Israel?

There are many beautiful scenes and region all over... And it isn't big either... About as NJ (21,000 SqKm)

Tel Aviv Metro area sprawls for about 60*20 Kilomerters along a very gentle shoreline;

And most of the country has a hilly terrain, from desert at south, to sea at west and snow to the north...

Would it be possible to request a Santa Clara County map? South bay, stretching from Palo Alto and Los Altos down to areas like Gilroy or Morgan Hill.

The SF map that comes with the game cuts off on the south end around Menlo Park/Redwood City.

That map is nice and has good details on the north/east bay... this is the area I am more interested in.

Hi mappers,

This mexican map was a bit too hot for me, so I migrated more northward... ...in Canada !

Creston - Canada (0.75 arc resolution)

@fmk : the arc is a unit used for resolution of topographical datas. Satellites have the possibility to acquire elevation datas at various resolutions, measured in arc. Roughly, 3 arc = 90 meters, 1 arc = 30 meters, 1/3 arc = 10 meters... The more accurate the datas are, the more neat and crispy your map will be.

Usually, it is better, for hilly areas, to have the better resolution possible.

An angle 3 arc seconds from the centre of our beautiful Earth subtends a distance of about 90m on the surface.

You're right ! Resolution here is about 2 meters ! I keep salivating when looking at this picture... ...and I will have to be very gentle and carefull when I will work at the map
