SC4 expanison

im new to playing simcity, i guess the verison i have is the cheep verison because there is only 2 road options and only 4 freeway options,

so my question is do i need the expanison pack? yes? is it called rush hour? will i get more road options? and will the content on this site work on it?

i downloaded some stuff off of here an it didnt work, the curser turned red and the game quit when i tryed using it.

Yes, in order to use the 99% of the plugins in the STEX and other exchanges, and getting more transit options; you're going to need the Rush Hour expansion OR the SimCity 4 Deluxe game, which is simply an expanded original SimCity.

Nowadays, finding SC4 Deluxe will be much easier than finding the Rush Hour expansion in the stores.

yea i kinda had a feeling about getting that expanison pack. ill get it and see if the problem is resolved.

OK, that one is a combined version of SimCity 4 + Rush Hour = Deluxe. Save your existing Regions folder to the desktop, then install it.

Update it using the patches found here using the EA support button on the very bottom of the left hand frame. Be sure you get the right version of EP1 for the area where you purchased your box. You need EP1 and you need the BATupdate found on the BAT page.

At that point you are ready to put back any regions you've used and want to keep by selectively copying the regions back to the new environment, then you are good to go.

If you purchased the game from direct2disk.com, then you have the deluxe version, and it should be upgraded with the game patch.

If you purchased the game from direct2disk.com, then you have the deluxe version, and it should be upgraded with the game patch.

I hope you mean that the game should have included all necessary patches already.
