stupid RHW/MIS question: onramps connecting to city roads?

I can't seem to figure out how to make the on/offramps in the RHW system work. I can add ramps to my heart's content, and extend out the MIS pieces to infinity, but how do I connect the RHW onramps to my network of city roads?

FYI, I'm on a Mac, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance!

If I'm understanding you correctly, you should be able to drag the MIS to the roads or avenues where they should connect. For example...

As far as I know this works on Macs. Also, MIS will not connect to streets (in case you're trying that).

Okay, thanks, that works, if I'm making road/MIS intersections.

But, is there a way to get a road to turn into an MIS?

Yes, there is a transition piece (under the RHW Transition menu) that will do that. However, I believe the transition is from MIS to RHW2. From that you can drag a Road from the RHW2.

Scratch that... Don't know what I was thinking. The transition is from MIS to RHW4 since it's one-way and Roads are not. You are able to drag one-way from the end of MIS, which makes more sense.

Also, there are a few transitions (in the MIS Ramp menu) from two MIS to RHW2.

What I don't get is why the street/MIS interaction was disabled...

Well, I would guess it just hasn't been made yet, or it wans't deemed realistic. Why would there be a heavily used highway off-ramp end at a narrow, local street. Yes, I know they exist, but they're rare. And you can always drag a couple road sections two allow the intersection and then go back to street. Just a thought...

    Thanks, guys, I've found workarounds.

I have to confess that, while the RHW system is a lot prettier, the built-in maxis highways are much easier to use.

Maxis highways are good for tight spaces, such as downtowns. I prefer RHW because there is an endless(well there are limits) number of interchanges possible.

what do you exactly mean with disabled???a road is not a one way network so it's impossible to a have a road becoming a MIS...you'd better connect a road with RHW2 and then use the transitions as said before by CaptCity :thumb:
