I think some of it is the recent upsurge in SC5 speculation and discussion. A higher amount of users than normal are on the site as a result.

Number of users didn't exceed the known threshold of 400. Still a lot of refusals today.

There certainly is a lot of B.S. about the "new" SC5.

Saturday is here, the site is pretty slow. However, on the upside, no 500 errors yet.

I am getting about 50% refusals. We seem to have hit the limit of the server.

Well with all the buzz lately, it's no surprise that the site is getting busy.

Even though it can be a little irritating at times, I'd much rather my favorite site be too busy than too empty. I'm actually quite impressed that ST is significant enough to generate this amount of traffic.

Yeah, I guess it's because of the recent exposure of SimCity 5, and a new surge of users which is generating refusals. I've had a couple today.

When I opened my site list in tabs this morning I got 10 500s. After that, things reverted to normal. Is it possible that in idle moments, if any, that the system swaps out and takes a few seconds to load? This was around 1000 EDT.

For once the number of Guests and users is somewhat similar. The number of 500 errors is getting ridiculous, I got 15 in a row earlier today trying to load the forum.

I also went and took a look at what the Guests are up to. It seems many of them are actually looking at CJs. imo, Guests should not be allowed to view them. They should have to get an account.

Tried to update my CJs but getting this screen since last night...

I doubt this is caused by the Guests Flood, but is almost as annoying as the 500s.

(And yes, I browse ST from my uni's computers)

I reported a similar problem in the bug report thread, except I was getting that error when trying to search for something on the STEX.

Another thing to mention, the ST mobile site is a lot faster than the regular site.
