MAPS pretty please!

Hi can someone please link me to a map that works on mac please. ive tried about 50 and got like 1 or 2

I'm curious why they wont work? I've downloaded like 15 and only 1 worked (las vegas, ironic because i live in las vegas haha)

every time i load the jpeg using shift control option R it says "image size is 2015x2015 image needs to be 1025x1025"

how do i fix this?

is there map ediotor for mac?

Read through this, it will tell you exactly how to download and run maps.

Your problems may be that you are downloading SimCity 4 Terraformer/Mapper files, which won't work on macs. You have to make sure that when you download them you get a black and white image as well as a small red green and blue image called 'config.bmp'

Runawaycow2, your problem is that you are not correctly installing the config file, read the above link to make sure you know how to do this.

And no, there is no map editior for macs.

I have tried the steps in the link.. its not working... only goes as far as the ctrl+alt+shift+r.. choose the map & click ok.. & nothing happen.. I also notice in the STEX map dload page, there is 3 file, config.bmp, photo.jpg & (map name).rar... which is the right one to dload.. I did extract the .rar file, turn out to be .sc4m file. Are the file has anything to do with the installation?

Thats the problem- you downloaded a Terraformer map. They won't work on macs. You have to make sure that when you download you get a large greyscale (black and white) image it should end in .bmp or .png

No not every map can go with a mac. Any maps that have the bright green and blue colors in the pic won't work. And most that won't work will also mention something about SC4Terraformer or SC4 Mapper.

Here's a tip:

Go onto the STEX. Click the Maps tabs. And go to the very last page. Everything this far back will be mac compatible. Then just work your way forwards until you find a file that you like.
