I was wondering how the rounding of the corners is done in gmax, just make them less...square.... Is there a way or do I have to get my sanding machine? Need to make these haybales less rectangular looking. Thanks.

gmax indeed has it limitations, at the moment I can only think about applying a tessellate modifier and then playing with the settings, I am sure there may be other ways...

You mean to dont have sharp edges? First, go to Creat -> Extended Primitives and select Chamfer Box. Not sure if it can be done in gmax this way, in 3ds max it works. If you cant do it this way, add a turbosmooth modifier to your box, dont forget to add at least 5 lenght, width and height segs or you are going to get a weird thing.

Hope that helps, but i am not sure if this what you are asking for

EDIT: Oh, i see what you are talking about, the above has nothing to do, so then i dont know, maybe Harishna advice could work

Thanks harishna, I knew about the tessellate modifier, but it doesn't give me the effect that I am looking for. (see picture) I remember having asked this before somewhere 5or 6 years ago, and someone showed me how to do it in gmax, it worked just fine, getting nicely adjustable rounded corners and edges, but....with the years I have forgotten to do so.

Alexandros, gmax has only create and standard primitives, no extended ones there. Thanks the same.

Jasoncw, chamfer did it. Just great. Thanks very much, I think that it was this that I used to use to round up the corners and probably, if I remember right, it could have been you that told me that 4 to 6 years ago. Thanks again, now I'm ready to make some decent haybales for the Nexis Mega Farmprop pack.
