    Private School Project.

    Hi, everyone.

I would like to start work on a true private school with real Maxis stats but before I go ahead with building a model for it I would like to know if anyone would be able to A help me out by telling me how to give it those stats or B after I have the model and other two files completed be able to give the lot the specs I am looking for.

There are three things I am tiring to accomplish with this idea. One make a free Maxis stats inspired private school that looks and sounds like a private school, with all of it's benefits. Two, make it so that you can plop it down any time you need to. And third change the capacity to 1200 Students, as I fell this would be a better number.

I know there is one mod already created that almost dose this but it comes up short a little bit and requires removing all the ones you may already have placed in your cites. It also has a priced tag attached to it. The capacity on it is also unrealistic. And the one other thing about it is I do believe you can only place it down three times.

I think there may be a way to do this with the SC4 Tool but I am not sure how to do so.

If anyone would either A be able to give these stats to the building when completed or B be able to tell me how to attach these things to it please let me know.

    Thank you all.

Hey Robin, don't worry about adjusting those stats. As soon as you have a finished BAT exported as .sc4model file, you use the Plugin Manager to drag and drop it to a particular category - in your case, a school. You will be prompted to accept the default stats or change them to whatever you like. Once this is done, you'll have an .sc4desc file, which contains the relevant stats. But don't worry if you are not sure about something: All the stats can be tweaked any time using either SC4Tool or iLive's LEProp or Reader applications. It's really not that big of a problem. I can help you once you are there, so don't you worry about that. However, I'd appreciate some pictures of your BAT model. :)

I prefer using PIM-X, basically its Plugin Manager but one that ca pn mod DESC. as well. It requires less expertise but it's prime disadvantage is, it can only auto-generate capacity with filling degrees and attempting to change values using the regular Plugin Manager causes glitches. PIM-X has tons more choices that regular plugin manager:

    -Ploppable CS & CO

-Ability to make working industrial lots(filler, anchor, etc.)

    -Rewards that work

-Ability to make building/prop families without reader

-Reduces time to create desc files due to auto-generate

-Ability to make parks according to type(stadium, playground, flower garden, open grass, etc.)

    -Ability to make CAMPatible lots.

    -Requisite for SC4D

-Less chance of glitching when modding

I am not quite sure how I am suppose to use the SC4 Tool to give it the stats and such I would like to give it with the SC4 Tool. If you could tell me how to do so or be willing to add these stats to the .sc4desc file when I am done I would be very happy with the help in doing so.

I do not have a picture of the school as of yet because I wanted to make sure it was possible to give it these stats to begin with before I started a mod and then find out that it's completely useless because I can't modify the stats to make it the way I would like it to be.

Now that I know it is possible to get help in doing what I thought might not be possible I will go ahead with the project full steam ahead.

I will keep you guys up to date as I make progress and start posting pictures in a few days from now.

I will also PM you when I have the files ready if that's ok.

    Thanks for your help.

Ok it's not much but here is how day one has gone.

I have now began construction on The Private school. I have ran into a slight problem though, I have no good window textures and would like to make this mod extra special if you know what I mean. So If anyone has a great looking window texture that is light in it's shade I'd love to look at it.

I'll keep everyone up to date with the progress I make.

June 14th Update: Top windows were finished.

June 15th Update: The roof went on.

June 16th: A lot to Finnish up still but getting closer to the end.post-292543-0-79431500-1308270946_thumb.

June 18th: you can now view the finished school.

Thanks all to those who helped me here on telling me know how to complete this project.
