Saw the ad for cities xl 2011 for 8 dollars at amazon.com ... clicked to purchase... (saw no expiration date I might add.) and not surprising there is a rewording of the sale stating that its 8 dollars off the current price of 31.00...

Cities XL (on average) does not draw its users in as far or for as long as SimCity 4: Deluxe.

I used to be obsessed with Cities XL; I have not played it in months. I might pick it back up for summer but the amount of time and effort needed for a large successful city (similar to SimCity 4), I might not.

If you never played Cities XL before and Cities XL: 2011 edition strikes your fancy (and you are not dead broke), then I recommend you buy it.

EB Games in Australia has specials on this week .. picked up CityLife with Cities XL 2009 for a friend for $9 and Saw Cities XL 2011 for $20.

Damn, I will have to watch for sales on it more often. I want to get it, but don't really feel like paying full price for it. Mostly because I feel it will let me down in areas that I really enjoyed about SC4. Would definitely give it a try for less then ten bucks though.
