Welcome to Simtropolis, Micheal (HatredIVLife). If you have a specific question, just PM me or ask others in the forums. I don't have any expertise in making custom content though.

What city building is concerned, check out the City Journals section. It's one of the best way to learn from others!

Welcome... guess I should have done the same thing.

I've been playing Sim games for about 10 years now.  In fact, I have to play on hard and use some disaters just to make the game interesting sometimes.  Easy... is well just TOO easy.  Especially after doing some book reviewing.  Though I must say the Rush Hour package does make it interesting.

I'm a mechanic for the USAF... LOL.  Married for almost 3 years with 2 kids, 1 my own.

I must say, some of you do go into great detail44.gif.  Wish I had time to do as much.  But other things do pop up.  And the farthest I ever got on making buildings was getting the pool to look like it had waves.  8.gif  Sad I know.

I play Sim City 4 mostly when I'm wanting to exercise my mind.  If I get a little disgruntled about work7.gif, I found Vietcong is a really handy game[:0].

Hello and welcome to Simtrpolis.

Suggestion if you didn't read already is organize your pluggins, give each download it's own folder44.gif. I wish I had done that from the beginning and not 500 downloads later46.gif. Keeping your folders organized will help fine problems quickly, add updated files/versions to the folder easily. Oh yeah and get the NAM in the MOD section49.gif, most important download you can have. There is also a newbie help thread somewhere here forums49.gif which is awesome. The guys here are great enjoy the site, btw the CD might not be  a bad idea to get the best lots quickly.

Welcome to Simtropolis. PM me or others if you need any help.

I recommend you download the NetworkAddOn Modd from modding files on the left menu as this really adds some extra transit tools to your cities.

To save you time in the STEX I recommend you get the STEX CD which is very useful for newbies.

Welcome to ST! 39.gif

As said before, check out the City Journal section of the forums to see other people's work and maybe perhaps learn from it. I learned from Olympia and Sculpting Columbia River . Hope this helps. 1.gif

BIG GIANT welcome HatredIVlife! hello's are what I am best at. Hehee.

If you are new to the game as well as the site; I agree get the NAM(network add-on Mod).

Kcidmil:Gridded cities will solve the simulation and I agree that is too easy. Try building more for realism, with a storyline in place and attempt to make your city follow the story.

Example: Sci-fi based city about space travel. Look in the City Journals forum and you will begin to see what I mean. there are some truly enjoyable stories being told in the CJ's!

Watch me make custom maps: Mapper Community

Just one beer and I can't be beat. Just a whole case and I can't remember, who beat me up.
