I cant wait 2 screens already and this is what they told :

Award-winning Battlefield Franchise Sequel Invades the Modern Battlefield

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 20, 2004

“The American city should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.”

Visually this game looks stunning and the dynamic map size thing will make multiplayer a blast. Looks like I'm going to be dropping another $50 on games :P

Don't be so pessimistic about something so grand and glorious. Sure EA is evil and all but this is going to be a really cool game. I'm looking forward to sniping some newbies.9.gif

it's better to steal and make something good out of it than to come out with something badly.

anyway, They said that the computers of a year ago couldn't handle the immense graphics of B2. and now?

I've just tried out the demo, and it kicks ass!

There's one problem, you'll probably need dual SLI'd NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GTs to play it with everything on high. My PC's really struggling with it :-\

I just tried the demo too. I now have a good excuse to upgrage my computer! Now if I could just find the money!

Even with this system, I was able to play the demo on lowest settings with virtually no problems.

    My Current System:
    2.8GHz P4 w/ HT 800 MHz FSB
    256MB DDR SDRAM, PC3200 / 400 MHz
    GeForce FX 5200 128MB

    My Future Upgrades:
    2x512MB DDR SDRAM, PC3200 / 400 MHz ($90)
    ATI Radeon X800 XL 256 MB ($200)

Not on the demo, I won't be, but when I get it (Friday, Saturday, probably), I'll join, I've already made a multiplayer account (because 64 player games are kickass), name being FosterK.

I played a game yesterday, and like, 20 people were barricaded on to the top of the big hotel to the East, and the whole of the other team was swarmingon us!
A few claymores on the top of the ladder, no way up, no way down. In the end, we got reinforced by a commanche and a jet, then airlifted out (well, five at a time) in the chopper. 48.gif

    I love this game! 44.gif

My multipayer username is hummer0328. The multipayer is awesome!

When I played a game yesterday, our team was loosing (USMC)to the point were every land base was taken, and helicopters and a few MECs were shooting anyone that spawned on deck. A few of us spawned down next to the boats and tried to get that to shore, but the helicopters quickly saw us and took us out. Next, a few of us took the boats and drove close to the battle area line as we could, trying to stay out of site of the helicopters. It worked, and we were quickly able to recover for a win. I love this game!

Now they just announced an expansion pack Battlefield 2: Special Forces coming this fall.

Expansion to EA's multiplayer war effort now official; new elements include six soldier classes, 10 vehicles, high-tech weapons.

Many gamers are still licking their chops with Electronic Arts' popular first-person shooter/vehicular combat game Battlefield 2 for the PC. The game was released less than a month ago by Swedish developer Digital Illusions CE (DICE), and has taken up its fair share of bandwidth in many homes.

Now, the game is preparing for its second invasion--albeit a more covert operation. EA and DICE today confirmed the inevitable and have officially announced that an expansion for the online multiplayer war game is in the works from Digital Illusions Canada. Titled Battlefield 2: Special Forces, the add-on brings some of military's best butt-kickers to the battlefield.

There will be six new character classes to choose from, including Navy SEALs, British SAS, Russian Spetznaz, the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition Special Forces, rebels, and insurgents. EA hasn't laid out the details of the 10 new vehicles or Special Ops weapons and gadgets that will be in the game, but it has revealed that they will be the most technologically advanced vehicles and weapons systems available to man.

Digital Illusions is currently working on Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PSP.

Battlefield 2: Special Forces is scheduled to deploy this fall, and requires the original Battlefield 2 to play. For more information on Battlefield 2, do some recon with GameSpot's full review, or download the game's demo from GameSpot DLX for a taste of the combat.

You should go for an Nvidia GeForece 6600 GT, they're a great price, and can handle BF2 fine.

I'm stuck with a GeForce FX 5500 (overclocked).. until I can convince my Dad to buy me an Alienware..

Don't go with Alienware, please. They're horribly overpriced and despite what they say, their tech support is bad too. You're better off just building your own computer from a place like NewEgg or Zip Zoom Fly. If you don't think you can do it on your own (its actually quite simple) then go to Monarch Computer and have them build it.
