Welcome to The New Hague, a region with a population of about 2,600,000 residents, 2,200,000 commercial employees and about 340,000 industrial employees. So. the residents are pretty wells served and unemployment is at a low.
Here is my first picture of it:

 newhague11242688718ne.png
Just for some proof. Now, two pictures of New Miami, my favourite city shown in the centre.
This first one is the Old Town in Madrid style and the commercial district at North Green Island:

  newmiamidec35911242689906eg.png border=0
New Miami began as a slumtown stretching about the same ammount of land area (a lot) but with only half the population before the mods came along to ahem 'thin out the clutter'. So this CJ DOES CONTAIN CHEATS, so kids, don't try this at home.
Our next city is New Malmo, a city that also grew from a hole in the ground to a great commercial centre.
The first pic is of the residential district and the second of the CBD with Christojerland Canal running through both:

<ahttp://img133.imageshack.us/img133/1632/newmalmosep92111242693901ax.png width=641 border=0>
That's just a teaser of this beautiful region - more pics coming soon. Don't forget, this CONTAINS CHEATS, so I wouldn't try any of this without some mods etc. Hope you enjoy it!
By the way, New Geneva, New Hampshire and New Barcelona coming soon as well as some of my small-tile megapoli. Please report any problems as this is my FIRST CJ, so I probably have done something wrong.

Well, even though nobody seems to like this journal, I will continue with an update.
I am very sorry it is not of great quality but I would appreciate feedback.
Here is New Geneva, a large commercial centre.
We have a full scope, Petri Park and the commercial district:

Hope you enjoy this one more than the original

For those who are actually interested, the population has recently jumped to nearly 3,000,000 and I have a new megapolis with 333,000 residents and 621,000 commercial employees. I'll post the pictures later today - I have to go to work now, ciao

Cheers, okay, I'll put the next ones into JPG, sorry about that everyone.
Here are the first few pictures of New Tampa, my megapolis:
Firstly, here's the main commercial centre. I don't know what to call it yet - any ideas?
    newtampajul304911244261591kg.jpg
Here's my first Large International Airport, Sebrat the Great Memorial Airfield:
    newtampajul304911244261837lq.jpg
This next one is the main business area, the Flower District:
    newtampajul304911244262014wj.jpg
Next, we have the western midtown, Chinatown:
    newtampajul304911244262120fs.jpg
Also, the original civic centre (please excuse my spelling, it's how they spell it in England and New Zealand) and the final overview:

    width=1279 border=0>
Enjoy the update, more news as it arrives...
EDIT: sorry for getting kind of angry at everyone who viewed it but didn't reply, I'm not a morning person and I haven't been sleeping well, so I'll try and keep my hair on while managing this CJ

Great start! You have made a huge metropolis there? Why that name New Hague? Have you ever been in The Hague (I'm Dutch, so I wonder...)

Don't worry about the replies.. You just have to show a little patience. Your cj needs some time to catch the interest of others you know.. If it's around for a while you will notice the replies coming in more frequently; just make sure to update it regularly
I wish you luck with your first cj!! Thus far, I like it a lot

Thanks so much - sorry, I didn't realise you had a New Holland, but the New Hague is because I see the Hague as a sprawling metropolis over many vast waterways and also, every single city is a 'new' something, like New Malmo, New Miami, New Geneva and New Tokyo. So I figured it would fit if I had the region name as a 'new' name as well.
And in response to your question, yes I have been to the Hague and I love it!

    I like it, Its different.

How did you get the skyscarpers to grow next to the industrial? I can see there are hi-tech industries in the pic but surely commercail skyscrapers prefer to be away from the industrail zones?

Whoa, that is really dense! [:0] Very impressive downtowns. I'd suggest a few less bridges for aesthetics (maybe use a few tunnels instead) and adding some recreational and industrial waterfront lots and embankments. I'm looking forward to a new region view! 2.gif

Oh no, the main industrial zone for New Tampa is on the other bank of the river while the other zone is up by the airport and the commercial and industrial are seperated by residential, so I don't think there's any RIGHT next to the towers.
Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it

Ooh, that's reminded me, I still haven't put New Hampshire up.
This first one is an overview (no bridges):

    Here are the tunnel entrances:

Next, here are two pics of downtown:
    newhampshireoct281811244834290.jpg
    newhampshireoct281811244834805.jpg
And lastly, the terraced East Bank:

Enjoy, I have to go to an art class now, so I won't be back for about four hours.

I'm back and I've got a really cool update - Sylvian Park, a redevelopment in New Tampa. Here are the pictures of its development.
This is what it looked like soon after implimentation, the industrial district still safely intact:
    newtampamay195311251126602ld.jpg
    Then came the residential:
    newtampamay195311251127570as.jpg
And the development, just in time for the fall:
    newtampasep65311251127861br.jpg
And lastly, one year on, here is the full development:
    newtampaoct25411251129507ho.jpg
Enjoy and hope to post a tute on how to do those wonderful Sacre Couere style parks soon...

Enter New Barcelona, nothing like the real thing, but very, very pretty. The city stretches across a waterway from the flat central area to the rocky Teller Hill on the other side. Teller Hill is the boutique neighbourhood with a GLR cable car running up and down and some small clumps of trees all the way through.
Here is the first picture, a full scope of Nuevo Barcelona:
    newbarcelonasep141711251788223.jpg
Now, here's the delectable delight of Teller Hill and Waterside:
    newbarcelonasep141711251788358.jpg
I like doing these hill suburbs. Now here's a closeup of the hill's zenith and the cable car:
    newbarcelonasep141711251788515.jpg
Now, the dense city airport and Junihead:
    newbarcelonasep141711251788739.jpg
And lastly, Teller Hill's business district:
    newbarcelonasep141711251789187.jpg
    Enjoy the update

Well, I'm glad to know that my contribution to the forum is appreciated. I'm sorry that 100 people don't really feel like replying...
Look, for all it's worth, if people aren't showing interest, why don't I just shut it down?

Okay, I'll do the update even though nobody's interested (this is merely because I like doing this).
I think I have discovered what a perfect city looks like (just about). This is New Noumea, unappropriately named for it looks more like a pretty European city than one nestled in the Pacific.
This first one is a full scope of the city:
    newnoumeamar31011253674479fx.png border=
This is the CBD across the river from Margera Hill:
    newnoumeamar20811252647209xn.png border=
This is the secondary business district (SBD):
    newnoumeamar20811252647349gz.png border=
This is the cable car up to Margera Hill:
    newnoumeamar31011253674680ox.png border=
And this is the car climbing up to the top:
    newnoumeamar81011253675090cj.png border=
    That is all
