Charles Haley, Drew Pearson, and Larry Allen are all being inducted into the Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Cowboys new ROH inductees

Pearson and Allen both are immensely deserving of this honor, but Im not a fan of Haley being inducted. He was a huge huge part of the Cowboys dynasty in the 90s, but he was only with the team for 4 years. His legacy is as much a 49er as it as a Dallas Cowboy. Regardless of what I think, congratulations to all three of these men!

I was driving back to Lubbock so I missed the game but I heard the entire team looked rather bad. Ominous sign for the season. Drew Pearson only makes the Hall through the senior committee and I have no idea what their opinions of him are.

    Holy Moly What a game!

42-34 GB wins with a goal line stand on an extra play after time expired.

I had both QB's in different leages both scored well for me.

My opponent had Darren Sproles. Fortunately, he was on the bench.

I was at the skins/giants game yesterday. I think it was good for me to be at the pre-game ceremony. Lots of DC and NY people working together to unfurl that field-sized flag and many good opportunities to scream afterward.

We had tickets in a weird area of the stadium called "the cave". Short version is the moronic owner of the team shoved a bunch of seats into places they weren't meant to be. We could see the whole field but not the punts or the jumbotron. But we did have 3 TV sets we could watch. One duplicated what was on the jumbotron. The other 2 showed network feeds.

It was interesting to watch when the network picked up what was happening on the field. It was also interesting to see that the network was lagging a good 15 seconds behind the live action. We could see a replay of every play. The play would happen on the field and, after it was over, the play would start on the TV. Problem was, every time the TV showed an actual replay, we tended to miss the next play on the field.

They have crammed too many people into "the cave" and the new seats are at the wrong angle. I don't recall other people in the crowd being in the way before but they were yesterday.

    An excellent game, btw.

That was a good game, marred by a weird interaction between Troy Aikman and Joe Buck. Joe sort of takes a weird shot at Troy

Troy " I'm not just a guy in a suit"

    Joe: "unlike Some"

    Anyone else catch that?

I'm trying to find a posting of this but fox may not allow it to stay up long.

Dallas got lucky this week. Team to watch out for in the NFC east: Washington Redskins. Two solid wins.

    And same with the Bills.

You can probably blame the Janet Jackson fiasco for that one. After that incident, there was talk of purposefully putting time delays in all NFL games so something like that could never happen again on public television.

Dang Cowboys are getting decimated by injuries! Our center, left guard, backup left guard, starting wide receivers, starting tight end, back up tight end, top three cornerbacks, starting running back, and our quarterback all are dealing with moderate injuries that could keep them out of the game on Monday. Crazy!

I cant belive how many injurys there have been to strating players so far.

one of my fantasy teams has every starting receiver out.

That Buffalo vs NE 34-31 must have been nice one to watch, we only got to see the last bit down here

but im not complaining the NO vs Houston was a nice one too.

6 field goals from a rookie kicker. Nice,But tell me again why we got rid of Andre Gurode? Phil almost Costa us the game :noway:

Another win pulled out of the Cowboys butt,Dont see how they found it with the offence's head up there. :uhm:

Yeah I didn't agree with cutting Gurode. I dont feel like the interior of our line is very good at all. Bill Nagy has some of the lowest offensive line grades at LG in the league, and we clearly saw what Costa did last night.

That was one sad excuse of a game.

As much as I dislike the Cowboys in general and Tony Romo in particular, I do have to give him credit. He was nicer to Costa than I would have been.

What confuses me is how the so-called experts year after year after year pick the Cowboys to get into the playoffs and/or SB, yet year after year after year, they fall flat on their face and choke. Every year they predict this, I always end up falling out of my chair from laughing so hard because everyone knows that Dallas isn't nearly that good, haven't been for a very long time and probably won't be for just as long. That team has a lot of issues and I think the biggest one has to do with the so-called experts picking them to reach the playoffs/SB every year. Maybe it's gone to their heads and they feel entitled. Who knows. All I know is is that Dallas is atrocious this year and will be lucky to win 8 games this year unless they straighten things out.

You forgot to add in the Lions who have been more impressive than Buffalo has. ;)

Ill belive in the lions when they are in the SB, never before.

I spent my formative years in central Michigan, the lions were so bad i became a steelers fan cause those were about the only games that got shown.

I bet Detroit gets to a SB before Dallas gets there again.

Detroit has legit pieces in Mathew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew, and N. Suh (lol no idea how to spell his name...). There are still a lot of positions that could really be upgraded, but the elite talent is there for the Lions to be really good, for a long time.

There is a lot to like about Dallas, but there are too many issues with the offensive line to truly consider them a contender. Phil Costa, Nagy, and Kosier are all below average offensive lineman which makes them one dimensional on offense which is exacerbated by the utter mediocrity of their stable of running backs. Tony Romo and the passing game have some serious talents but Romo makes too many bad decisions throwing the ball to rely on him to carry the team to a super bowl.

Well now, what an exciting game tonight. Atlanta jumps out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and it looked like it may be a long night for the Champs. But whatever spigot Atlanta had turned on, that Packer defense quickly plugged it for good while Rodgers began to carve up the Falcon defense. That's the best three quarters I've seen the Packer defense play all season. 5-0 running start out of the gate with the  Rams and then the Vikings. I can see a 7-0 start before their bye in three weeks.

Could I get a guy's point of view on the commercials and their emphasis on what is "manly"?

"A manly ten calories" means the soda is "not for women"? [link]

If you drink the wrong beer, they take away your "man card"?

I know my reaction but I'd like to hear how men are reacting to these ads.
