Hi everyone, working on one BAT at a time bores me, so I decided to start a second project and switch between them. This time, i'm attempting to recreate the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada.

Here are some very, VERY early screen shots.

Yes, i'm aware someone already made the olympic stadium and it's on the STEX, but... I felt I should make my own version 1.gif

WooW!! It's a good start.  I want to make the Montreal's Olympic stadium in my city but the thegood 's version is too small and I don't like is texture.

Do You will make the temporary (I hope) blocked windows with wood boards too?

I too will be following this project. How long did it take you to get up to where you are at the moment?

    Hey everyone!

Well i'm back from Texas and ready to resume work on my projects. I've spent a good 10-12 hours on the Olympic Stadium and about 4 more hours on the 1000 de Gaucheti

Those cables add to the realism, but in all realistic... if viewed from above or in space... you wont see the cables that dark and fine....  I think it looked better without those cables...  plus it might speed up your rendering for more important things, like the rest of the building.  All-in-all, I love your project so far, and its very much beuitifull and resembles what your striving to make.  I may not personally want it, becuase its not my style of buildings to use... but its very wonderfull, and I do not see how anyone would not want that besides my case! 3.gif  Keep up the great work, and hope to see the finished product! 44.gif

    Thanks for the comments everyone,

MayorAce: You may be right about those cables... If rendering takes too long, I may scrap them. They aren't really visible from far. We'll see!

This is fantastic, Cataclaw. I love the whole fiasco of the Olympic Stadium in Montreal... perhaps you could release more than one version, i.e. dome broken, dome open, dome gone, gigantic concrete slab... 17.gif

    Hi Cataclaw,

An outstanding job, I will follow that project more closely. To improve it, I suggest to have a closer look on the edge where the side roof comes on the base cup.

I'm looking forward having your stadium in my cities!!!29.gif

By the way, I'm actually looking for people interested by building of Quebec province, like the Stadium. Woko and I discussed that a little bit and it would be nice start a little group to create some of the beautiful buildings we have.

    Bye! 4.gif

19.gif Nice! It's cool. If this will be available, it will add more diversity to my same-old baseball studiam in downtown area. Keep doing a great work in this. 44.gif

    Toxicpiano,

And it's not only Montrealers who pay for it...19.gif The whole province is.

For those who didn't know, A few years ago a large piece of concrete (on the outside ring) fell. Noboby was hurt but people were very frustrated to pay for something falling apart.  Anyway...
