Saves location?

My steam download of the game is here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\cities xl 2011\

The save folder located there is empty.  Where are my saved games?

I have the same problem and do not know what to do.... My hard drive crashed and I installed a new drive. Fortunately, I had everything archived and backed up on another drive... this said, I cannot find saved cities' folder in my steam CXL folder I reinstalled? Where are those cities saved??????

Did you check My documents? Some games create a folder there.....

Nope, nothing in My Documents.

Maybe the cities are saved when you just make a backup of the entire folder?

Nope...I guess this question can't be answered.  I am surprised nobody else isn't curious as to where the saves are located...

Its probably bcause most of the users got the box version or downloadable one from here

Well, if you know what the file extension (.dat, .sav, .sc4, etc) is for the file, you could search your entire computer for that file extension, and look for something connected to CXL.

Assuming it hasn't changed from the online beta back in 2009, it should be a "*.sav" file, with the filename beginning with "cxl_". You should get confirmation from somebody who actually owns the game, along with what the filename usually looks like. (I get to wait until I get a better computer so I see all the nice graphics )
