I downloaded it, and I must say I'm disappointed. There's no difference!

I think the white lines on the road tile should be longer, and the ones currently in use should be used on the ANT network. An ANT network junction should feature stop or give way junctions, there should be markings at the street+street junction, the arrows look wrong, we need a slow plopable, a better pedestrian crossing is already provided. I'd be here all day if I gave you the complete list.

If I knew how to do things myself, I would.

Well, I've downloaded it, and it's certaintly an improvement - the motorways look far better and the crossing is great. But I'm not getting any of the give way lines, traffic light lines etc. What am I doing wrong?

Have you removed the Euro Road Textures? I don't know if it has an effect, but it's worth a try.

Nevermind, it's a lot worse without the Euro Roads Mod, a lot of things become American again. I'm re-installing the Euro Roads Mod and maybe unintalling the UK one because the only real changes are the level crossings (which aren't normally like that), the give way markings (which are the only good things about this mod) and the slow markings (which look horrid when you zoom out).

Thanks for that, p4p3rc1ip. I do still have the Euro Road Textures installed, but from the sounds of it, I'll leave it just as is!

The UK Road Mod should be loaded after the Euro Road Mod, meaning you need both. Also, I believe the project is stalled, possibly because the way that SC4 flips / rotates textures means that some road markings will inevitably be on the wrong side, especially on diagonal junctions / transitions. I was about to make the missing ones myself before I noticed this.

    Well heres Alpha 4.0

    Im not gonna bore you by telling you how i started this back up.

    I was bored.

    This is now in a useable state (sort of, if you like grids)

    But i need help on this problem.

    Why is it black, :s

    Does anybody know why i have this problem.

    It's because the alpha map for that intersection hasn't been set properly. Just put a black and white alpha channel underneath it (note that you'll have to redo the offending texture).

    Oh yes, and if possible, avoid using text on the road textures, or it'll be obvious when they're flipped by the game.

    Remove the old UK Road Mod before using this.

    There is a know bug where the game has flipped the texture back to front and the junctions are the wrong way round.

    I dont know how to solve this. If any body can help please dont hesitate. Thanks

    And also is there anyway of adding safety fenceing to the pelcan crossing and are you still going to do the ''give way'' signs and ''school'' signs

    yeah, things are going slow at the moment as i have no help, currently as you may no i have the pieces done

    straight

    90 curve

    45 degree curve

    diagonal piece

    t junction

    t juncion (street)

    cross roads

    + juction (streets)

    90 road curve to street (need altering)

    45 degree road t juction

    all but 1 level crossings (wait for next release)

    im curently working on a few 'main' bits now

    Well the textures are good, but how come the signs and traffic lights are on the wrong side of the road?

    Because he's probably not using a Left Hand Drive version of the game. Since these are just textures, it won't matter which version of the game you have.

    I am afraid I will no longer be able to continue this mod, due to lack of time and effort. Currently I am doing my GCSE's and its, unfortunatly, more important than this. Feel free to take this over.
