How is it possible to add on to an existing subway line?  Do you have to build the entire line first, because I cannot figure out how to add to the line after I have completed it.  I don't mean adding another line, but rather extending the existing one.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think this is possible, you have to make the entire line all at once.

I heard that you can delete the line and keep the stations then build a new line that goes further.

yeah, that makes sense... the lots should still be vacant if the station gets demolished.

I have more trouble with getting my computer and the game to handle more than 4 stops in a 1 million population city that I only build small lines.

Hahaha, Tzariu, with so few people in the city I really doubt anyone really needs the metro. You citizens are probably using their cars.

Concerning existing line extension: there's no way, technically, to do it, but I've found a workaround:

1. Delete the TRACK of the line, by using the area buldozer tool somewhere above it. I've done it several times alreacy by accident. As a result, the line ceizes to exist, but the stations remain.

2. Start the line anew, tracing it through the existing stations, then simply continue on the side where you want to extend it. You'll basically have the very same line, with couple of new stations.

Thank you for restating what I said.

You dont have to destroy anything. If you click on an existing station, even if that station is connected to a line already, you can start a new line or do whatever you want. All my metro lines are interconnected with each other. 70% usage.

Yes your correct YannickMtl , you do not have to destroy anything unless you prefer to delete the line, your choice 4.gif

Thanks for the replies. I tried out the in-game tutorial and confirmed that you cannot edit a line once it's built. You have to demolish the entire line and begin again, so careful planning is needed!
