Kiffissia, is a small country named after it's capital, wich has one more than once the price of world's most livable city.

The country, located in the middle of the Pacific ocean is made of several islands wich are all cities themselves.

Let's start with the capital and the cultural core of the country, Kiffissia city, was founded in 1418 so it has a lot of monuments and great landmarks.

The city lost it's title of biggest city in Kiffissia in early 1993( in terms of population)

By now (Nov. 2009) Kiffissia's population is around is around 3.4 millions

Its opponent, Gettysburg, wich is more of a financial center is now at 8.9 millions

We'll see more about Gettysburg later on through the City Journal

The city of Kiffissia will host the 2020 summer games.

The arrival of the olympics has given the city a population boost, many projects are planned for 2020 .

<img width="800" height="600" alt="" src="http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/5176/capturedcran20101020005.png" />

Fat away from the olympic village, new districts are placed as the demand for residential has boosted because of the olympics.

<img width="800" alt="" src="http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/8374/capture15t.jpg" />

Lots of hotel as this one offers rooftop terraces wich give us an amazing view of the city skyline.

<img width="800" height="513" alt="" src="http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/2193/capture6m.jpg" />

<img width="800" height="465" alt="" src="http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/188/capture10y.jpg" />

The city hall, it is also the gouvernment buildings, where laws are voted and where the president lives.

<img width="800" height="467" alt="" src="http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/5740/capture11d.jpg" />

Kiffissia has an amazing commute system, here is the central station right in the city center.

<img width="800" alt="" src="http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/724/capture14x.jpg" />

This is the governemental square, on the left the city hall and government headquarters,

on the left gouvernemental offices.

<img width="800" alt="" src="http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/8264/capture9e.jpg" />

Since the Stadium is complete, the price in every district near it has risen a lot.

<img alt="" src="http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/615/capture3uz.jpg" />

The city is a cultural playground but also offer casinos and hotels in the downtown area.

<img width="800" alt="" src="http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/9492/capture12f.jpg" />

Here on the right is the Marriot and on the left is the famous Loews central Kiffissia.

<img width="800" height="466" alt="" src="http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/8563/capture7vu.jpg" />

Because of its very wide streets and efficient commute system, the streets are clean and swift.

<img width="800" alt="" src="http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2801/capture13d.jpg" />

You can see here the citiy's famous mountain Mt - Royal, wich u can see from almost everywhere in the city, especially since the NASA build a huge anthena on top of it .

It has been name like that by the king in 1783 only 23 yrs before the arrival of democracy.

    How did u touch these up?? Photoshop or is that untouched? Regardless one of most impressive cities I've seen for this game, if not the most. Also I'm trying figure out what graphics card/setting some of you are using that have the higher graphic usage. I have a 250 gts and a non hd monitor. Want to upgrade both but not sure if it would be that much worth it in graphic uptick.

    Keep it up pal!

    Here is my UPDATE #2

    ENJOY

    As you can see, the traffic in the capital is very fluid.

    capture1t.jpg

    The citizens satisfaction level is also pretty high, because of all the cultural and social activities availible trough out the city !

    capture3x.jpg

    Kiffissia's city downtown is small but really beautiful.

    capturea.jpg

    One of the most popular service offered by the city is it's marina, wich is popular all around the country since the country is made of several small islands, so the citizen can go visit other cities by boat.

    capture4.jpg

    Some of the cities most expansive houses are right on the marina's island.

    capture5t.jpg

    A nice view of the Olympic park and of the famous marina.

    capture6m.jpg

    Some high-tech industries, far away from downtown but only a a 10 min highway ride.

    capture9.jpg

    The picture was taken from a plane approaching the city. What a great shot !!

    capture7m.jpg

    Kiffissa is a ''sportown''  they have all kinds of professional teams, like a hockey team called ''The Nationnal''

    And this big building on the right is where they play in front of 24 000 people.

    city3i.jpg

    The city view from Kiffissia southern island wich is still by now a national park.

    city4v.jpg

    The famous Central park of Kiffissia small but beautiful and always clean.

    city5.jpg

    You can see here the big ferris wheel, built for the 2020 Olympic games.

    city6.jpg

    The island view from the top of Mt- Royal.

    city7t.jpg

    One of many museums in the city ( right where the avenues split)

    city8.jpg

    The city only has 1 highway, but it's enough, population is really satisfied of the circulation all over Central Kiffissia.

    city9t.jpg

    Lot sailboats stay around the island because it has amazing view to offer.

    city12.jpg

    People living in the hills have an amazing view of the downtown area.

    city13.jpg

    city14.jpg

    Central Kiffissia Olympic park is an amazing place to relax and watch sunsets.

    city15.jpg

    city17.jpg

    city18.jpg

    The great ''hockey building''.

    city19.jpg

    The city offers huge malls really close from residential areas.

    city21.jpg

    The country of Kiffissia still has a royal family like in england, and they still live in they're castle wich was built around 1450 on the side of Mt- Royal.

    city.jpg

    Once again, the Olympic park and all its fancy hotels.

    city17.jpg

    The view from a rich man's pool livin in the hills.

    city20.jpg

    Central Kiffissia's subway map ( before the olympics )

    city11.jpg

    Sattelite view of the city.

    i like the wide roads and the boats in harbour/river mouth.

    Also...what is on top of the mountain peak? Is it a radio tower? I could not find any tower like structures in Cities XL 2009 and I haven't had a chance to explore 2011 yet. I was hoping there would be some radio/tv/cell towers available...whatever it is it looks wicked!

    I'm using a 2 week old, brand new computer I just bought.

    Windows 7, Gateway DX 4840, Intel R Core TM i5 CPU, 650@3.20GHz, 6.00GB Memory, 64-bit Operating System.

    I hope I didn't buy a *****ty computer!!! lol ... 2 weeks ago I bought it.

    CitiesXL runs very fine, don't get me wrong, but after 1-1.5M people in a city, it starts to lag a little bit and the auto save makes the city crash also sometimes. When I zoom out my city to the highest, the clouds or whatever is there makes my city freeze also. I play on highest settings. When I zoom in, or when I play around the city, it's usually fine.

    I'm from Montreal, lived there 12 years, I'm originally from Sherbrooke. But I'm in Toronto since 3 years now. Just never changed my username.

    There is also an OPEN POLL about my city .

    I decided to let you guys decide the fate of ''Kiffissia south island'' ....

    Kiffissia south island is just south of the main core of the city,it is pretty big and the terran is not flat at all but that could be arranged , it has been saved since the creation of the city as a national park until now .....

    The mayor and its population decided to do something with this island .

    -Here is the question .....u guys will be able submit a project idea to the mayor (me)

    What should we do about Kiffissia south Island ?

    If you hadn't had airports yet i would say to build an airport on the island - but now I think a blueprint + rich homes + office area would fit the best 4.gif

    Honestly, i think setting it aside for a park is pretty cool. I love cities with large open space areas for everyone to enjoy. Otherwise, a resort of sorts would be nice as well...
