Cities XL 2011 unlock buildings!

The menu seems to work except for the unlock buildings bit..anyone know what the problem is? theres feck all buildings without it otherwise! 15.gif

You go under Options, Misc, then select Advanced Placement Mode.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    no im not talking about the different styles of placing buildings, im talking about the extra buildings u can unlock like landmarks, all the special buildings etc..there is a cheat menu to unlock them like cities xl 2009 but it doesnt seem to work with this one.

    yes, i have the same issue and it is rather annoying, but all i really want to do is see what's new in the game and right im only able to see what youve got naturally

    You might not be able to place them but GlobexCo made his unlocked mod so that in the new version, you can see everything in the menu if you are in sandbox mode.

    If that is not what you seek...

    You don't have to be in Sandbox mode,you can play normal mode ,go cheat,go unlock buildings [ UM].......4.gif

    I assume you guys are talking about Landmark buildings like the Brandenburg Gate and the specialization buildings like the special offices, institutes, etc. Those buildings are not unlockable via Expert mode or cheat in the normal game. You have to reach specific requirements to unlock them (either population or specific token production). And no, this doesn't seem to be a bug, but rather a designer's decision to make the game more challenging. There are a number of unlockable buildings in the Landmarks menu, the Packs (Social buildings), and also in Leisure menus.

    I guess that the only way to unlock them all from start is Globex' mod.

    The only reason im asking is because if you go into the cheat menu theres actually a button saying "unlock buildings" but it never seems to work! is there a link to this Globex mod? I would try and search myself but i would probably download the wrong thing! haha

    ah the unlocker mod v 4..still doesnt work for me for some reason, tried installing it twice and it seems to have installed perfectly but nothing comes up for me, iv tried everything but cant get it to work 15.gif

    Yes, when i save the mod it takes a while to go into the folder and it asks for a destination and it was directed to - focus home- xl 2011 - packs. other than that i dont see why it wouldnt work!

    I do not understand what you said. If you are talking about a crash to desktop when you connect GlobexCo's rail to the intercity railway connection, the answer is in all of the documentation. The reason is stated on his threads, website, manuals, and ReadMes. Plus, your post does not go in this thread. In case English is not your native tongue, Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Swedish are known by members. French, German, and English are all officially supported on the official forums at forum.citiesxl.com and GlobexCo offers support there.
