Your grass texture at the base of your building looks to bright. I've never seen grass that fluorescent green.

I am liking these two buildings and with some work they will be real good. I'd reccomend using Simfox's BAT4MAX maxis textures for the grass as it is currently too bright, they can be found on the STEX

You may want to add a ground plane with a nice texture to reflect on the glass of the tower. Just right click and select object properties and set it not to be visible in the render. You should be able to see it in the reflections still, however.

You may also want to make the grass and trees a little darker and less saturated, they will look odd in game if you keep them the way they are.

Yes, SimHoTToDDy is 100% right, but other than that this is beautiful.

Congrats to your Mable Sky Tower release! Is this a real building or did you design it? I love the shape of it.

Exciting to see you progressing so fast from one BAT to the next. Keep it up 9.gif

Put a plane on the ground and map it with the material who want to be reflected!

Select the windows material in the material editor

You have to use Arch&Design materials

in the select template roll out, select: Glass (thin geometry)

increase the reflectivity of the glass a bit.

Go to BDRF roll-out and select there "Custom Reflectivity Function" and set reflectivity at 0 deg. at about 0,2.

For the ground plane, select the plane,  from the quad menu select Object Properties. There in the Rendering Control uncheck "Visible to Camera option"

    Hope it helps!44.gif

    I like it!

Keep us update with your progress, this looks like it will be a really neat building.

Remember to wait to get advice before putting this on the STEX, the longer you wait, the more people will try to help you improve.

^ Wise words there. on0012...., and it is indeed an interesting building. So far so good. You might want to consider lowering the saturation on that grass on the roof. It's too green if you ask me. I think the white facade texture could use a more hint of color. Most Maxis "white" buildings have hints of color in them. I'm not sure about the glass though, it looks very bright and I don't think that what its supposed to be reflecting should appear sort of white on the glass. Just my thoughts though. 4.gif I hope this proves useful.

    Ah, you are learning!

Now, if you were to photoshop this into a picture form SC$, you would notice that the glass reflections are very bright. You may want to adjust this to make it more appealing when it is used.

Keep posting progress, and wait to see what people have to say before you put this on the STEX 2.gif
