weird building bug

 Ok, I have been having this bug with my buildings for a while know and its getting very annoying. I cant take good pictures of my cities because of it. My computer is Windows Vista and game is SimCity 4 Deluxe. Sorry for putting the picture in an attachment, I have no idea how to put images on to the forum

Any help is gladly appreciated.

That is most likely caused by video card drivers that are set up wrong or out of date or incompatible with SC4

Well, those comments are a little vague, are they not?  Here are some things to look into:

1. Check the settings on the control panel for your video card.  All the options such as anti-aliasing should be set to 'application selected' or whatever wording is equivalent.  SC4 is a legacy game and doesn't understand stuff built after it was written.
2. Make sure that windows has the right size for your video memory.  Its in the registry somewhere.
3. Failing all this, see if there is an update for your video system drivers.

Next time you post in this forum (B & TI) please include your system configuration as well as your software.

Actually, I think it might be a bad install. The building outline shows up in the weird looking box, but the rendered FSH image of the building doesn't appear. It seems like parts of the model file got corrupted and the game couldn't read it. If this is the case, you'll have to reinstall the game.

It's also possible that a mod or building you downloaded and installed into your game overrides the image that should show up, causing this graphical distortion. Maybe remove all mods and see if the distortion still occurs?

It could be a video card error though. Give us all the information A Nonny Moose asked for above, especially what your video card is and its current driver version (which should be shown in the video card control panel).
