Question to anyone who may know, is this 50% off deal (if you previously purchased Cities XL) only applicable if you participate in the pre-order?

Aaaaah, Asene, izprevari me 9.gif9.gif9.gif9.gif Misleh az da postna za preorder-a 9.gif

Regarding your question, theBrad, we don't know. Since there isn't 'post'-order yet, we can't know for sure, but they stated that all 2009 players would get discount, regardless of when they purchace 2011.

I just pre-ordered, and all is good. 10.gif

And yes, I used PayPal to pre-order it from there.

My pre-order went just fine, but I used credit card. However, I had a problem accessing the order area from the link on the main site (a 404 error). If anybody has the same problem, got othe forums here, and click the link in the first post - it worked for me.

Tried to pre-order and like other people I have had problems with it. Feelings deja vu. Remember the problems with CXL 2009 registration?

Not a very promising start to CXL 2011!

Well, if you're expecting something totally new and shiny, then you're likely to be disapointed.  It is basically 2009 version, but with bug fixes, buildings unlocked, trade system betwen your own cities, subways, and a couple other things.

But there is no drastic change to the game that would make anybody's jaws drop open.

As far as all that I've read, it is not yet available at retail outlets. Supposedly it will eventually be, but at the moment it's digital download only.

May I suggest then, that you wait and you read what others think of the game.  There is no reason to get angry with the game from not liking it if you wait to see what others say about it.

The thing what we must all remember, is that Cities XL 2011, IS Cities XL 2009 at it's heart.  The game has not changed, it still plays the same way, only now you have a few more toys to play with.

There is nothing drastically changed in the game, if somebody did not like Cities XL 2009, for it's game play, then they are not likely to like Cities XL 2011 for it's game play.

I know it's very easy to get hyped about a game being released, even when we have the history of Cities XL 2009 already in our heads, so one must temper their enthusiasm and understand, IT IS the same game.

That does not mean that I am suggesting people to not buy it, I happen to now enjoy the game for what it is to me, a city plopper building game that is very capable of creating visually pleasing cities (for the most part).  It still lacks things like decorations (without mods), so cities can look all too business like and not realistic at times, however it is still pretty.

Before I was able to wrap my head around the way that the game plays, I thought it was one of the worst CB games ever released.  Now that I've accepted the way that the game play works, I like it.  Sure there are some things in the game that I absolutely hate, like the individual lanes of traffic only going through the intersection one lane at a time, but overall, I enjoy  when my city gets streets that are red and choked with traffic and trying to figure out what I can do about it, and trying to place bus's to be efficient and now with 2011, I will enjoy trying to use the subway system to do the same.  It's not perfect, it's not SimCity 5 and it never will be, however if you want a game that allows you to create visually attractive looking cities, then there is nothing else on the market that compares for that purpose.

Still, I say, save yourself the anger, and read what others say about it before plonking down your cash Ben.

And honestly, anybody that is here and buys the game and gets angry with it, only has themselves to blame, we all know the history of this game, we all know how it plays, if we buy it and am angry with it, we can blame nobody else but ourselves for buying it.

Funny thing is, I can already download the game because of the pre-order (with key and everything provided) While I thought that the release was 24u later.

I've heard on the official forum that people are already able to play the game 4.gif

Yes true, some people got the email already sent to them with the key and download location. I unfortunately am not that lucky, I'm still staring at my inbox which is devoid of the necessary email. I'm starting to get a little ticked off to be honest, it's like they forgot some of us even though the money has been removed from our accounts.

I got flagged as fraud when I ordered... just like last time... now I have to put on the gloves and fight with metaboli and the devs for a month to get my game. Almost not worth it.

How long does it take to get your game key? I've installed it and it's killing me not being able to play it!

Also, those above ground train pictures are sexy.
