First of all I am new to the game and fiddling around a bit.

I have build a city high up (horst) and one in the valley (Slenk).

In between is a farm area and around the bayside is where the upper class lives.

I wonder how you can create these streetmaps, that you sometimes see in a journal.

I would like to use that too.

Take a night time shot of your city from overhead and turn on the traffic view.

    Finally! Freeway #4 closes down

We from Farmville have done it! Freeway number 4 tunnel under our fields has closed. Permanently.

This tunnel where way to close to the surface. The trucks could be heard 24 hours a day.

Now that it has closed... It is quite. Just like a farm.

Below are impressions of the last open day.

Entrance at Slenk, looking towards Horst

Situation of the Freeways around Horst & Slenk. Sometimes called Highways. But that is a big error.

    960624022_on2To-L.jpg

The F4 was once a million project from Slenk to reach Horst, but is in error now.

Slenk needed access to the industrialpark of Horst and had build out the Freeway #3. This was in a billion expensive project.

But since it is ready it is not so busy anymore under the tunnel of the F4. And now it is closed, is all the traffic going through  F3.

The F1 is in the planning. West of Horst and Slenk. Yet middle through Bayview. They will not be pleased.

The Nothern part is ready for quite some time.

Is this the future of Baysite?

As of now, Horst & Slenk are developing on the roads.

We are happy about that. But? Not THIS!. Freeway Number 1, going through Baysite.

View some artist impressions below, with the road embedded into, the area.

I think, I will reveal more, in an upcoming news, tomorrow.

Anyway, I will elaborate a bit about it.

The idea is, that the city is not 1 city, but divided in 2 bigger cities, a farm village, rich area, and a mountain village.

The villages/cities are divided on the course. And one does not want to help the other.

Yet the 2 bigger joined up, but the smaller once are not happy at all. In the end, they all join up in to a big city, helping each other. That is the story line. There fore I am using the newspaper thingies.

Big city wants a highway, village does not. etc.

I thought to make a story out of it.

    I know, sounds nuts.

Horst is gone. I think one or another strange person has buldozered it down overnight.

Not after clearing all inhabitants of this 120.000 large city.

The it seems like it has been rebuild, overnight!

It is much more beautifull then ever before. Yet, the buildings... I guess I have to get used to it.

On the right appeared the new city. On the left, just at the end of the lake appeared the office area. Bayview has been destroyed as well.

The new city is of a circular form. With the highway encircling it.

Oh and here is the new map.

    Change of Baysite Chronicle

Baysite Chrononicle, previously the by-weekly newspaper for the jetset of Baysite (Part of former Slenk), changed to a broader public.

Baysite chronicle is now a weekly magazine. It is sold in 50.000 copies. Brought at home or bought in a kiosk.

    Main article on Thull's Height's.

Thull's Height's, renown for its attractive medieval village. Hundreds of visitors daily.

But hardly anybody know's it's history.

    History

When it all started there was nothing in the area. Just mountains, a lake and the vastness of empty.

    Thull's Height's was started in 1410.

For nearly a few hundreds of years hidden in the mountains. Undetected by friend or foe.

Got it's first connection to the world by widening the goatpath in 1869. Later replaced by a gravelroad that still exists.

It goes uphill. First kilometers asfalt, later the gravel of 1969. It is winding and steep.

View the image below. It is made halfway the road.

    973281448_ep3wk-L.jpg

You will find a fantastic view as soon as you arrive at the top. Horst and Slenk should create a nice parkingplace there, so you can have good view.

    973281320_2gbDx-L.jpg

Mishaps by former mayors of Slenk

But you can also see the mishaps of a former mayor in 1963. Like the villages on the right for friends of him.

Or the even older houses on the photo above. you can just see some modern houses from 1915.

    973281338_RtEqx-L.jpg

Or the parkinghouse (1993) in the middle of this nice town?

Despite the concrete parking lot, it has a function. Keeping the cars of the roads.
