I checked it several times, i put it in Program Files > Focus Home Interactive > Cities XL 2011 > Paks

*Edit; i downloaded another mod, but it doesn't work either 8.gif

Installed fine but didn't work properly for me. Sandbox wasn't activated, landmarks/blueprints/gem didn't open, etc etc - only about 1/10 of buildings opened, clicking "unlock" and "expert mode" didn't help either. Yes - files installed properly. No - it was a clean install. Guess ill have to wait for a different version or something.

Nevermind. It is kinda frustrating to see Download (851.6 KB) and then realize (after you searched forums) that you actually need an 88mb file which is suppose to be downloaded, but it isn't, because servers are overloaded. How hard was it to mention this in the description -_- ?

Hi there GlobexCo!

I've managed to retrieve my city from CitiesXL to CitiesXL2011 and I've noticed something.

Yes, I'm talking about the unlocker! 4.gif

Uhm, I can't seem to find the Sydney Opera House or the Transamerican Pyramid.

Are they not included or am I just missing them, aka dumb? ^^

As you might know, they used to be very important landmarks in the city of Aegina.

I know this one. They are no longer landmarks and are now full blown blueprints. The files are different so they might disappear. You can replace them but you would need a lot of tokens for the blue prints. The purpose of the Unlocker Mod is to unlock hidden files. When these files come out in the open, they no longer need to be in the mod.

I had to delete all the BPs to transfer the city anyway.

Uhm, I was only askng if those buildings were still in the game, but no.

So I got Karl... Was it Karl? Anyway, yes, his, I believe, mod.

The mod that unlocks the remaining few ^^

This looks like a great mod but after about two hours searching I still can't find a working download link for the 88mb file anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I just spent the last 3 weeks attempting to mod/unlock working Freight Trains into Cities XL 2011. Figure it would be easy since I create many many mods for other games, but this game is BY FAR the most frustrating game I have ever attempted to mod.

So I hope that you, GlobexCo, are more talented than I and someday will be able to mod freight trains into the game. In my opinion it is the only major thing that Cities XL 2011 is missing.

Or I could just hope that Focus releases freight trains, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Check the modding index, there's a mod to plop trains.

    However, working trains are not very easy to unlock, if it's possible.

    As I said, I tried in August 2010 to unlock working trains, but without success.

    at first, many thanks for your work on CXL, youve made this game really better (i mod racers, so i know how hard it can be:-))

    I can leave without raillinks, i just build into the map and its ok, but im curious about, may You explain me why its working on your screenie and not now?

    screenshots from the airport pack (now in testing phase). Still few things to modify (those red boxes for example).

    Some airport props are planned too, but no success at the moment with them (not showing)!


    I downloaded the patch, and installed it. After a break in January, I'm still removing bugs in buildings... hope to release the Unlocker Mod 2011 short after patch release! 1.gif

    Hey, guys, this mod is stuggering, but i've got a little problem. I'll be very grateful if you could help me. When I start to play with it, my cashflow drops from + 500 000 to - 300 000 and air pollution increases in few times. This is the only one problem, but i can't play because of it((. I hope for your help. Sorry for my bad English, i'm from Russia.

    @Mbpruq yes, cashflow is not very stable... try to find the buildings that have this problem.

    Working on Gembeach, some progress made:

    More news:

    Setup will be "smarter":

    * it won't ask the installation path (since I'm sure that most of you didn't know it :) ). It will search for CXL exe and automatically find path.

    * it will search for sgbin patch. If found, nothing will happen, if not, it will download the patch for a (finally) good server. I'm sure there won't be anymore problems with this patch.

    A whole new mod, for CitiesXL 2011.

    The unlocker mod is more than a normal mod, it adds lots of new features to CitiesXL, such as new buildings and a beach pack. But one of the biggest new features is the GEM ski, that lets you build a ski resort!

    (sorry ... images will come tomorrow)

    A small list of the features:

    * Ski GEM

    * Beach pack

    * Avatar mode

    * Sandbox mode

    * More cheats

    * Lots of new buildings

    * 9 language localization

    How to use:

    Download and unpack the .zip. Run the installer as administrator, choose the drive where you installed CXL and the features you want to install. If connected to the Internet, and if you don't already have it, installer will automatically download GEM models. You can also do it manually by downloading the first and the second patch and put them in your paks folder.

    What's new in v5: new multi-language setup, better that the previous one; it includes and un-installer as well. Fully integrated with Plaza XL, that lets you manage features and update the mod once a fix is available! Many bugs solved, and some new buildings added...

    Changelog:

    * Fixed simulation of some buildings

    * Fixed cost of some buildings

    * Tange Coccoon Tower now produce education

    * Fixed Xmas market layout

    * Big hospital is now a hospital

    * Swim area can now be destroyed

    * Fixed some descriptions

    * Support added for 9 languages

    * Gembeach buildings now can be placed

    * New beach buildings

    * Titanic, Aircraft carrier and shipyard added in beach pack

    * Sea sound at ground level fixed

    * One button in gemski has been removed to prevent crashes

    * Railroad things have been removed to prevent crashes (will be added later)

    * Added integration with Plaza XL

    * Multi-language, smarter installer and uninstaller

    Uploaded Mod v5 and the game wouldn't start -- removed it, and everything is fine.... Any ideas as to why?
