Mods to Get

 Hello,

I've yet to download or install any plugin or mod. I'm hesitant because I realize there are probably thousands out there.

I've cruised the site quite a bit but haven't really stumbled upon any threads with an up to date listing of highly used and dependable mods that everyone should have.

In this case would everyone list what they think are must have plugins that I should get? 

I like to keep most things stock, car included, but I realize this game hasn't been updated in years and the public has probably added to the game in ways to improve one's experience!

You should get NAM. I think it's one of the most important mods out there.

I downloaded NAM and ran into a problem. It requires Rush Hour!

You should really get Rush Hour. Atm, before you get ANY mods for Sc4, I think you should get Rush Hour. It is totally essential. Just get Sim City 4 Deluxe.

Oh my, I didn't realize how important it is.

Most games have sequels which aren't really necessary. The review was lower then the actual game was so I passed it up thinking i'd be fine without it.

like they said get rush hour, then the NAM, then anything by Pegasus

Once you get RH, you should consider getting the RHW and the HSR.

In fact, you probably won't be able to download ANYTHING from the STEX without Rush Hour...

The STEX will be almost pointless to you without having Rush Hour.

I cannot find a copy of just the Rush Hour expansion. I've looked all over...I guess my only choice is to get the deluxe edition, which is still cheap, but I feel like I wasted money on the original, yikes! Are you guys sure theres no way to use any of the site mods w/out rush hour? That seems weird

Well I caved and bought Deluxe Version! I can't believe how many new building choices there are! It's like an entirely new game lol

The NAM is tottaly awesome! If you want to download the NWM and the RHM, they are pretty cool also. I agree that the Deluxe Edition is WAY better.

Update to build 640 (BAT enable) on this page.  You do not have to download the BAT, just the update.

You have to be registered on the SC4 site to get these.  You can also find them on Simtropolis.
