simcity for 9.99

so, i'm still at my parents house and am pretty bored... i was in office depot and saw a copy of simcity 4

the game didn't say deluxe on it and it was one of those cheap games you see on the side that is in a package the same size as a cd case...

ever since i lost my copy of simcity 4 (not the deluxe edition or rush hour) i've wanted to put it back on my computer but i didnt want to fork over the 10 dollars untill i knew what i was getting into

could someone clairfy a few things for me?

1. can you install both simcity4 deluxe and simcity 4 regular on the same machine???

2. is the 9.99 game i saw simcity 4 without rushour?

3. should i have just bought it (even though i already have many copies of deluxe and rushhour... but no base game)??

1. SC4 + Rushhour = SC4Deluxe 2. Almost certainly, otherwise it would SAY Deluxe or w/Rushhour 3. Huh? If you have copies, why buy another? If you have "delux" you already have the base game and that added to rushhour IS SC4Deluxe

3. simcity 4 is my catcher in the rye... i just want to get my base game back and have a copy of simcity with no rush hour i could play every once and a while

i also want to start a city journal that starts out with the base game and as things start to pick up i would import the region into deluxe and build more advanced networks and improvements... and it was only 9.99

i also miss how cars didnt disappear and the different hud look... i may just buy it tomorrow and let everyone know what happens with trying to install it on a computer that already has deluxe...

If you didn't have Deluxe or Rush Hour installed, you always had the regular version.

lol I found a copy at a local store of mine. It was new and only $5.00 and it was new. Still wrapped in the plastic. (I didn't buy it because I already have deluxe)

so i bought it,

sadly i had to uninstall deluxe

and it is kind of great.... there are soo many more cars and people on screen and they keep going

i will find a way to have deluxe and vanilla on the same computer... soo gnarly

If you want the deluxe version back then all you have to do is find a copy of rush hour and install it. If you do that then you have deluxe again!
