A Region

Dear All,

As per request of some great sims, i am posting my first region over here. For now, I am just showing the city Mid Suburbs which has a whopping population of 660K.

So Here it goes:

 

 

    Region view of A Region.It has nine medium cities and surronding them are small cities. All small cities are industrial Areas. Do check out the population.

    This is Most Populated city that I was talking about.

OK ppl, now for the city Mid Suburbs

First of all, we see the overview:

 

 

       A glance at the demand and the population. Its 660K and still R$ and $$ want to come in. .The commerce will definitely boom in my central city . The high tech isnt bad either.Have a look at the cash baby .

 

 

 

 

    A look at the taxes. I havent reduced them from the thy's proposed tax rate. God knows what will happen if I reduce them.

    Basic Unit of Mid Suburbs.Each Block 4x4 and each sector 3x3 blocks.Avenues are usually on both sides of the block. In the picture below, there is only one. I have plans to make left avenue also.

 

 

    Main High Tech Area.

 

 

 

    Stadium and Golf Course. I know I know...I am bad at placing reward buildings.

 

 

 

    The University> Yet again, bad placement.

    6 hospitals in line and all over-capacitated. There r more hospitals in the city also.

 

 

    Subways rock...each carrying an average of 13000 passengers per tunnel to the city to north.

    Last but not the least......Future plan of this road moving to my metropolis.

Well leech,most of the photos ARE 1024x768. only some r less but are on the same resolution, as i cropped them.

well JayStimson, ive used alot of mods,lots,bats...there r more that 250 of them in my plugins folder. Please ask me specfically of wat u ask

Nice start. Try to find what BATs LOTs or MODs are/is causing the brown box's to appear. My suggestion is to Right Click on the Box's themselves to see what they are and then do a search of your plugins folder.Otherwise... very good my friend.

try making smaller pictures other wise modds will delete them, i know you probably hate it but there isn't much capacity on this site

well my friend sorchin,this brown box is coming over the roadside subway. I dont know wats wrong with it. but i will look over it again. Well ive got 8 more cities and industrial areas as well.I will definitely post them now after a very good response. And Deathtoall, it will definitely be less than or equal to 800x600. but if u wanna shoe the whole region, then how can u show it in 800x600 res?

 

The main thing i think the reason of growth is b/c of the three circles i have defined. Outmost being industrial area,whereas innermost being commercial area (still in progress).will defintely show u all .

 

PS:And JayStimson, i think ur answer is Network Addon Mod.

Just show a 800x600 picture of the region, and turn the picture into a link to the full size version. Pictures can be any size you want them if they are just linked to and not shown in the topic.

I like the populated city, plus the buildings aligment... but... Unfortunatly... It's just too... Griddy?

Ease up and work randomly - especially on the outskirts.

Looks good to me. it is a bit griddy, but that doesn't bother me as long as you have some greenery, which you do. The one issue I have is all those hospitals. You might consider looking at the giant consolidated hospital on stex to replace those.

don't worry about the whole griddy thing everyone does there

road layouts differently and it is a matter of preference.

 

One piece of advice i would give you is to remove some of your high

density residnetial, your sub system sounds excellent but since quite a

few of those buildings are dilapidated (dark and ugly) maybe removing a

few and adding some parks or even parking for your mass transit system

would really help,

 

just a friendly seggestion,

Nice ST.com boxes.. maybe try using lot editor...

and look for mr.c's turotial in uploading the pics on imageshack...

actually sloppet, i was playing this region as a practice region so i just named it A Region....means it is a region...simple. but the results were more than wat i expected.

 

I will replace these boxed roadside subways with another subway kit i just found.

 

plus ViperX883, i found a hosptal with 50K patient capacity!!!![:0]....im definitely replacing that one with these six

well....to the big news...the city I showed u above had given some surprises to me and will surely give u also.

I played this city to some extend.......now ...from 660K....it has risen to 750K

 

Big $$$ buildings are finaly appearing now...finally!!!!!.....I have been waiting for these R$$$ skyscrapers for such a loooooooong time. Notice the very small light green huts near the building......its the 3dz's roadside subway that is looking good....no more brown boxes....soon, i will replace all of the brown boxes to these subway stations.

During this time, population rose to amazing 760K!!!!!....100K more from last update

 

 

Many Many Thanks to ViperX for letting me know of this hospital and applauses to SOMY( Equinoox ) for this GIGANTIC Complex. Problem has been solved.

 

 

and while closing up my city...playing for a couple of minutes....look wat happened.....

 

This medium-sized city broke the barrier of 800K.....YIPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

@newy2 Yeah...very right and very true.....but the buildings which I downloaded from STEX dont show the night lights....and b/c of that, my city looks dark as if black-out has occurred
