and we also want a room next to that one called the SIOC CLT, where we will produce custom lots for the SimOlympics, you may call this room: The SIOC CLT room

First floor.

City Journals

This two storey section is the library of all SimTropolis' City Journals and Sims Diaries. Here thousands of members surf through various journals created by other Members.

 

ST closet

The closet is SimTropolis' world famous Gay bar. Here the SimTropolis Gays roam around, having fun, sharing stories over a good drink and a game of snooker. Even straight guys and girls wander in for a drink, a laugh, and a game.

 

SimMars Labs

Protected with blast-proof doors and airlocks, the SimMars Labs dominates three storeys, here members such as Orishavit and Boris225 roam, doing various things, turning SimCity4 into SimMars. (due for release in Spring '06)

 

New Member's Lobby

The beggining of the red carpet, the lobby is where all members come first. New Members come here to register, buy a room, and meet the staff in charge for that day. Members come here to check in-check out of SimTropolis.

 

off-topic

Off Topic is the currently most popular place at SimTropolis. here, daily, thousands of members come in and out, and browse the various threads.

 

Moose Place

The Moose Place is the world famous Restaurant and grill of SimTropolis. With seating for thousands, many famous members, such as Gingerblokey, SkiGeek, Aronion, and even Dirk himself come in and out, eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the 24-hour 5 star restaurant.

 

Grand Staircase

The Grand Staircase is the central piece of SimTropolis. Since it's construction in 2003, about 70,000 people have passed up and down, reaching over a million trips a month. The red carpet continues from the main lobby up these stairs to the floor above.

 

Dirk's Suite

Dirk's Suite is the most known place at SimTropolis. Blocked by security, it is a 6 star room, maybe even 7. It blows the rooms of other members' out the window.

 

seccond Floor:

Staff Meeting Area

this empty spot, dominated by a large couch, is the main area where staff spend their free time. Discussing problem children, and finding fun ways to enforce the rules.

 

SimTropolis Related

Here members discuss things related to SimTropolis. Here maps are posted, and fairy tale versions are posted.

 

Grand Hall.

Grand Hall, the seccond storey section of the Grand Staircase is the grandest part of SimTropolis. Here members meet to talk, and is the entrance hall for the Dance Hall. Here, daily, over a million paths make their way through the large open area.

 

General SimCity4 Section

formerly the most active room in SimTropolis, the General SC4 section is home to everything, well, almost everything related to SimCity4.

 

SimTropolis Games Room

The Games Room recieves about 25,000 participants a week. Here, games such as trivia and snooker are played, along with chess, checkers, draughts, and various arcade games.

 

Dance Hall

The Dance hall is the end of the red carpet. Used daily as the main SimTropolis Chat room, the room is re-decorated for the Trixie awards, and the few SimTropolis Dances.

 

Custom Content Library and Server

The Custom Content Library is the home of the STEX. here members discuss the BAT, and MODDs, and upload their own creations to SimTropolis, with thousands of hits a day. Here also, is where the server to the buildings' thousands of computers are hosted.

 

Custom Content Discussion

On the opposite side of the building, to avoid too many people in one place, the Custom Contenr discussion is where members can complain about BAT being too hard, and get some help... physically, and mentally...

 

SimTropolis Chat Room

When the Dance hall is closed for trixies and dances, or if there are too few members to need such a huge space, this small room is used as the ST chat room.

 

Dormitories:

Dirk's Suite, the largest at SimTropolis.

 

The Admin Suites are the second largest dormitories at SimTropolis

 

the main dorms are about this size, though most are found on the 3rd storey, they look like this:

 

the small dorms are located on the south point of all three floors. This one being shown is the day room of MI6Ash, (for when Dani isn't on)

 

There is one other custom room, other than Dirk's, and that's the room of gingerblokey, located on the SW 1st floor.

 

The girl's dormitories are located on the NW 1st floor, though SkiGeek, Samantha, and the married women at SimTropolis have rooms elsewhere in the building.

Perhaps one day virtial reality technology will be good enougth to be able to browse Simtropolis as like it is a building.

umm..no the ban users are outside...locked out...and a force feild is placed keeping them from going into a just opend door .don't bother teliporting into the forums or chat because it will send you outside....I think I may be able to make that huge map Ash made is I'm given 100hours...and a some patence and interest I could make that using possibly 8 5x5 Sims 2 lots(no I'm not kidding and it may be more).

You spent waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too much time on that, lad! For some reason, though, it reminds me of a primative, top-down view video game (SNES, GB, etc). It would be kinda cool to walk around in that place, though!
