What Is An Exception Report?

At least one comes up every week, in a folder titled "Exception Reports". They have a bunch of numbers, dahses in them, so really I have not a clue what they are. Does anyone else?

whenever a game crashes it writes an exception report. exception reports are used for debugging and programing to find out why the crash occurred.

For the typical user they are totally useless.. You may freely delete them without harm.

How about the Archive, Exemplars, and HTTP Cache that are in my SimCity 4 folder? Do these have any purpose either, or can they be deleted too?

HTTP Cache has to be there along with the Plugins folder and Regions folder in order for the SC4 startup process to recognize the "work area". Deleting HTTP Cache and Exception Report contents will cause no harm. My SC4 install doesn't have an Archive or Exemplar folder, so I'm not sure where you got yours.. I've never had anything written into my HTTP Cache folder in all my years of playing, but it has to be there.. so I'm not sure what its created for.. If the regions folder is missing, I think I recall the game will copy the install region's contents to your work area at startup.
