    Alantific Newsletter
    15Jul04

Hello again with another update and more information on our traveling Sim. Last time we receive a letter from a Sim who said he had venture from our safety region of Alantific. With pictures to prove of another region out there, and we have the President's statement reguarding his venture out from our region:
Of course, I don't think Sims should wander out on their own without the proper resources, but I feel that if there are more Regions to be discovered, then by all means we should get out there and discover them. Maybe if we combine our knowledge with the other Sims knowledge that we meet, we could have some wonderful results. I commend this unknown Sim who has risked his life, and when he does get back safe and sound he should have a full hero's welcome home. I have set up a team of sim explorers to go and search for new regions, not to take over, but to exchange ideas and to possibly enhance Sims technology.
Here is another post card we received yesterday from our unknown Sim. With pictures from the cities of Buttersfield and Misty Point, you can see that our Sim has traveled many many miles since the last postcard from him.
Hello again from the Lyon Region. I have included some new pics of 2 of the most recent cities I have been too.
This is the city of Buttersfield.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-full
About 45,000 or so, maybe even more Sims reside here.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-island
A view of the main land here with a view of the island.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-port
With the main item being copper that's shipped, the main industrial section of the town resides here.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-small
A small commercial section of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-Island
A close up of the commercial section on the island at night.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-South
South of the city at night. This is where the main night life of the city is.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-closer
Butters Air Force Base. With base housing and the commersary.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-base
This is a better pic of the Air Force base view. And if you notice down in the southeast corner is a major development just comepleted. It's called the Southern Commercial District.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-SE
Just a night pic of the Southern Commercial District.
    /idealbb/files/Buttersfield-nexis
The heart of the commercial industry in this city is the Nexis Assocation. Located just a few miles from the Air Force base, this company oversee's all the commercial business in the city.
The next post card has the pics from Misty Point.

As I traveled to Misty Point, I wondered how many more regions there could possibly be. But as I came to Misty Point, I noticed the farmland was mostly the same unlike Alantific.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
Very strange city to me but none the less a new city.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
Just north of the farmland was their very own military base called Ft. Misty, very interesting to see a military establishment like something of our own.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
This is the rest of the farmland. all the same hmmmmmmmmmm wonder what makes it do that???
    /idealbb/files/Misty
This is the NE corner of the city at night right off of Highway 521.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
And here we are the same place in the daytime.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
This is the northern part of the city at dusk and also Misty Airport.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
This is the water company Misty Water Works.
    /idealbb/files/Misty
This is a full view of the city at night. Misty Chopper TV news crew took me up to take some fabulous pictures of the city.
/idealbb/files/MistyThis is the NE corner of the city at night. Gotta love those new zoom lenz camera's.
/idealbb/files/MistyThis was my last stop in the city. The mayor's house is 5000sq feet with flower gardens on each side. Mayor Golson has been mayor here for some 20 years. We learned a lot from each other and hopefully if i ever get back to Alantific Region, I will have lots to share with every Sim and also the President Ms.Charamut. That's all for now. But I will send more pictures soon as I leave this city to continue to the next one. Thank you very much and I hope to write you soon.
    Signed,
    Adventurous Sim
Well, you heard it right here folks. I hope you get your copy of next weeks Alantific Newsletter and see the new pictures of Mr. Adventure's travels. At least that's what the president has named him. We are still looking into the identity of this Sim. if anyone has any information, pls contact your Alantific Newsletter or call 1-800-I-THINK-I-HAVE-A-TIP.
    Until next time.............4.gif

    Alantific Newsletter

Thank you for grabing the latest copy of Alantific Newsletter. We have a wonderful update for everyone as we follow the Sim who is risking it all, Sim Adventurer. With Ms.Charamut's husband gone away due to military orders, MsCharamut has decided to stay home and keep her fellow Sims happy in the Alantific Region. She said to us earlier, As soon as the Mr. returns home, then I will have my team venture out and do what they have been trained to do. I'm very happy for the risk taker in our region and I hope that we can apply his learnings to ours.
We have received word that Sim Adventure has indeed ventured into another city. He writes:
Here again is another update for my fellow sims in Alantific Region. I have about 2 more cities that I have come across and the first batch of pictures I have to show are so awesome. The city is Ashwick, located East of Copper Port.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-day
About 54 years old, you can see it has developed VERY well.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-full
A night time view of the city; compliments of WASH TV news chopper.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-Ashwick
This is Ashwick Church, located on Woodlawn Road.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-NE
This is the NW corner of the city. Notice their military base. Ashwick Army Base.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-middle
This is the middle of town. The soccor team, the Ashwick AntEeaters, have a winning team of a record 84-0. Playing the cities all over the region, this is the best team so far ever in this history of the region.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-university
This is a pic just a little north of the soccor field.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-soccor
    What a nice stadium...
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-Southern
The southern part of town, here includes a Circuit City, an Air Force Base, and the biggest church in the city.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-city
TAKE a look at this City Hall. Dedicated to the military members of the USA Region, this city hall and court house has been here for over 50 years.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-airport
Here is their inter-regional airport. With the monorail system running around, no one can possibly be late to catch a flight.
    /idealbb/files/Ashwick-airport.JPG
I figured I would throw a daytime picture of the airport as well. Well, now it's off to the next city...
    The city of Goldenopolis:
Goldenopolis is located directly west of Ashwick. About 98,000 Sims reside here. The first shot is of the Mayor's House; Mayor Goldie.
    /idealbb/files/Goldenopolis-Mayor's
What a site to see. Located on Mayor Drive, this 10,000 square foot is fit for anyone! With it's own private garden, lake and pool, one can live like a Sim King!
    /idealbb/files/Goldenopolis-airport.JPG
This is their Airport. With flights leaving daily, GIA is the best way to travel intra-Regional.
    /idealbb/files/Goldenopolisdowntown.JPG
    DOWNTOWN Goldenopolis
*sorry my sim pen ran out there for a minute*
    /idealbb/files/Goldenopolis-SE
This is the south east end of the city. Also trading Copper, this particular seaport has the capacity to export 20,000 LBS of copper a day.
    /idealbb/files/Goldenopolis.JPG
Just a broader view of the downtown area, and a city can't be complete without a Golf Sim course. The Golden Golf Course has rates that any sim, retiree, or tourist can afford. With the hardest Par 7, it has holes to challenge the best of them. For lessons call: 900-I-WANT-TO-PLAY-GOLF.
    /idealbb/files/Goldenopolis-comm
This is major commercial area of the city. With ferries running all hours of the day and night, one can be sure he or she can be to work on time. With unemployments on the downlow, almost anyone out there who wants to can work and make a wonderful life for themselves! Hopefully, they can tips to Alantific Region one day and finally STOP and raise our unemployment rate!
These are some of the region pics I was able to take before traveling to my next city. Some of the cities that are south of Ashwick and Goldenopolis are under construction but as you can see this region I have no doubt in my little Sim head will be a major production Region.
    /idealbb/files/Lyon
This is the FAR end of the city heading west, not really developed, but this is where you find most of your farmland.
    /idealbb/files/Lyon
As you start to travel East, you can see the major development of this region. With traffic never having a problem of backups or wrecks, this is every Region's dream of a transportation system.
    /idealbb/files/Lyon
What a region shot. Nothing could be ever more breath taking from way up here in the news chopper. I just thought everyone might like a view to see the things I have found. If anyone back home is reading this, I hope it has made your little Sim mind wander and dream a dream that there is other Sim life out there. This is all I have for now. But I will send you some pics of the developing cities. Love one another and until next time....
Well there really is nothing more to say, if you have any comments or questions, pls write or email us and we will be happy to answer any questions. Special thanx to mrbisonm of Nexis of Genesis and too all of Alantific supporters.
Remember support your BAT and Lot makers, make sure to rate and leave CONSTRUCTIVE comments, cause without them, this would probably be just another boring game!
    Until next time....

    Amazing job!!!

It was fantastic how you really put together the journal... you started up with all the farms, and little urban neighborhoods. Step by step the city grew into a sprawling metropolis! I love those newsflashes too... very creative!

With Independence Hall located in the NE section of the city, many tourist come here to visit.
/idealbb/files/Metrohatten-cityThis is city hall at night, it's a wonderful view from the air and especially at night. With the glowing cross as a reminder what a gift we have by living every day. And to live each day as if there were no day tomorrow.

Downtown Metrohatten is a very fast paced neck of the woods.

    /idealbb/files/Metrohatten-bank
The Bank of China located in the SE end of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Metrohatten-SE
And on the other side of town you will find a night life of this city's own. With plenty to do, the clubs here don't usually close down until the WEE hours of the morning.
Well, I best be running now, I'm on my way to Connection Way. I can't wait to see what's in store for me in that city. Take care.....Hope Alantific Newsletter is getting flooded with comments and letters and feedback.

the picture shows up okay, however, i THINK the address says it is still hosted on Simtropolis (let me know if i'm wrong, folks - i've usually found myself to be right only about 15 percent of the time).

took me ages to figure out ImageShack, anyhow - once i got the hang of it, it became busy. now, if I can only figure out how to not click on a link in the same window of the city journal I am writing - duh.

Sorry for the techinical diffucilties last week with the update. We have gotten some new region pics in from Mr. Sim. Amazing that this region is not fully developed like we thought it was. Also later, we have a region view of Alantific Region, by request. Not a lot of production has been going on with Alantific Region, since the President has had some problems in the past few weeks. Construction should begin again here soon though. Here are the words from Mr. Sim this week.
Hello again. I have gotten some new region pics of Lyon Region. I was amazed myself to see that this region has not been fully developed yet. But here are some ariel shots of the region.
    /idealbb/files/satellite
Here is a transportation view of the region.
    /idealbb/files/transportation
This is the 2nd most populated city in the region
    /idealbb/files/Lyon
    With the next city being:
    /idealbb/files/total
This is the largest city in the region. (((So far)))
    /idealbb/files/City
This is an entire view of the city itself.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
Freedom Square my friends. To remind everyone that freedom is precious and freedom doesn't actually come free!
Let me take you into a deeper look into Freedom Point.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
Freedom Airport. Along side is the customs agency.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
On the other side of town we have the industry section of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
This is the lakeside commercial industry. Well known for its developmental work of the surrounding cities.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
Freedom Landfill. Helping the surrounding cities rid of trash since 1901.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
Just a pic of the middle of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
This is the northern residential community of the city.
    /idealbb/files/Freedom
    And the southern residential community.
Next we'll go to the city of Trident Providence. The second largest city in the region.

We have a full view of Alantific Region, but that picture we found out is still under development so hopefully we can get that printed as soon as possible. Anyhow back to Mr. Sim.

Trident Providence. The second largest in the region so far. This first picture is of the Nexis 100th lot. It is responsible for the financial work of the city. A few stats for ya.
    /idealbb/files/Nexis
Also just a view of the train stats. Like I said before, of a lot of Sims come into Trident Providence thru Esper Town.
    /idealbb/files/train
The Commercial Sames is the commercial section just north of the rail station seen above. personally I don't think they could think of a name to call the section myself.....
    /idealbb/files/Trident
    See what I mean?
/idealbb/files/TridentTo the far east of the city lies Hope Cliff. Before this city started becoming commercialized, the copper barges would never see the cliff and lose thousands of pounds of copper each month.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
Hope Park has been here since the beggining of time acording to the old timers of this city. It is said to be a prayer park for people who need prayers and miracles. Named after Hope Cliff, loved ones would come and pray for the safety of the barges and their crew. Acording to some Sims I talked to, many sim lives were lost due to these accidents.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
To the south east of the city after crossing the Trident Bay, you come to what is now known as Industry Island. With millions of copper being transported to other cities a month, this is how the city makes most of it's money.

    Sorry about that.............anyhow........

    /idealbb/files/Trident
This is Industry Island at night.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
Here is the main island....as you can see a major boom has started. Look at how the buildings just sprouted right on up.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
This is the northern community. I have outlined to show you where I stayed in this city. What an awesome place to live. It was called the Assholio Apartments.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
This is NW of the city at night. You can see Nexis 100th lot. This building can be seen from miles above.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
This is the northern residential community at night. I wanted for everyone to see this part of the residential section because this is where I stayed at. Being at the top floor of these apartments, you could see for miles and miles into the city in the day as well as night.
    /idealbb/files/Tridenthttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files/Trident%20Providence-SW%20corner%20of%20city1.jpg>
These are the new set of the Trident Twin Buildings. With casino's on the bottom floor. This would be a great place to make reservations to come and visit.
    /idealbb/files/Trident
This is just a closer view of the Trident Twins.
I forgot to show you the few pics I took while I was in Esper Town. Located to the west of Trident Providence, this small town is a wonderful place to raise your sim youngins.
    /idealbb/files/Esper
This city also makes most of it's cash flow from the landfill.
    /idealbb/files/Esper
This last picture is a close up view of the small town itself.
    /idealbb/files/Esper
There aren't very many pics of this town for the reason I wasn't here but only of a half a day. I was excited to get into Trident Providence and see what awaited for me there.
I wasn't exactly thrilled with Connection Way so I didn't take very many pictures of the city either. Some may wonder what it looked like, but with crime building and the traffic a mess, believe me I wasn't there for very long!
    /idealbb/files/Connection
This is the island where most of the commercial section is.

This is what they call Diamond Commercial. Diamond shaped roads with nothing but commercial buildings in the diamond. What the concept is, I'll never know.

    Ferries ferries everywhere!!!!
And thank god this is the last pic, sorry I really didn't like how this town turned out.....the industrial part of the city:

Ok, Ok on to another city that's more interesting...
As you can see in the before satellite pictures, there was a town called Military County. Due to I guess what was UFO's this town was completely destroyed. The town was leveled but every Sim made it out alive. Now rebuilding, I think they are calling the new city Grass Valley. I will send pics of the city as it starts to unfold and begin construction.

These were the only pictures I could get before having to get out of dodge....I wasn't about to stay around and see that outcome..
These last set of pics are from Metro Junction. Located 20 miles West of Trident Providence.

I guess these cities try to use this diamond commercial system a lot.
