As you can see my fellow friends, simtropians, and fans. Yes, after all this time, I have decided to start a new region. I am aiming for as realistic as I can be but also I intend to have fun with one. Cleo Townsend Region is almost gone as if a dream, but the mayor herself felt as if it was time to move on and see what awaited her in this land of the vast open but yet partly hilly plain she called GOOSEVILLE.

This City Journal is many regions and cities in one. From one crash to another with this computer it has been impossible to keep working on a single region for a long amount of time. I've been meaning to make this EDIT post for a while. But please feel free to leave comments, constructive critism, even suggestions, good or bad. Just don't be too mean to me.

As the mayor moved her way up to being President of many regions, you can see the journey that this has taken. I hope y'all enjoy my CJ. I've worked very hard on it and I am so proud of how far I have come along. Thanx again to my friends and fans and I hope there are many more city journals to come!

Ok, I was having a little too much fun with microsoft paint, but I think you got the picture...

Coming up next is the town of Little River City.

A little bit of farmland along with some corn and apple trees.

If that boat only knew what was underneath him?!?

My favorite little section of this town is up in the right hand corner.

A couple of landmarks on the east side of town.

Some development I think turned out pretty good.

And a city isn't complete without a Major League Stadium, Home of the Cleo Cats...record 15-0

but in Little River City the are some distressed building why??

WOW, lots of comments. Ok, to answer some questions, I found the map on the MEX. Which i don't know if that's cheating or not but as we all know I suck at transforming maps. It was called goosefoot. Ummm someone asked about distressed buildings, I'm not sure why it does that but I've been getting a lot of that lately. AND my comm is always on the downlow. I don't get it.

thatmonkeysim: Let's be resonable on Cleo Townsend Region. That was my first journal, and I think I have learned a thing or two in playing for the past umpteen years it seems like. I think I want to take a different approach to this journal, but I haven't figured out quite what yet. I know I want it to be interesting and I want everyone to keep following the story so y'all will have to wait to see.......but thanx for the comments. I hope this journal is better than the last one, but hey it can only get better right? (((LOL)))

OK y'all, here is a test city actually is what i call it I wanted to see what i could do with highways and the city turned out REALLY REALLY well.

There's ALOT of pics so bear with me....

BTW, this city is called Karaoke Bluff. Can't imagine where I got that name from. But I wasn't expecting the city to turn out like it did. my best pic of the hwy system wouldn't post so i hope you can kind of get a feel of what the hwy system looks like. PLEASE let me know what y'all think of this city and maybe i can try it with others....

sorry jcab, I found my map on the MEX...........I'm not very good at designing regions as you can see from Cleo Townsend Region......but I tried..LOL...I really like this region and I figured as I go on I can add little things here and there.....

Beautiful, awsome, great ! Awsome work with those cities ! some of them are great. I really like the use of highways, and the cities along the river .Very nice work ! I don't like the use of some lots ... but great work ! : ) very nice...

 

i think you should add trees, rivers, mountains or something to the non-build cities cause' they look bad in the region shot

looking pretty nice, Charamut - i like the fact you aren't going for all towers, and even aren't afraid to show off some of your slum areas (hey, i like slums...gives the cities more realistic looks).

 

couple questions...or at least requests. in your regional picture, you have two very large blue things, which look like man-made ponds...are those ponds, if not, what are they, and can we see a closer shot.

also, it looks like you have updated a bit, any chance we can see an update of the full map?

Actually those are man made ponds, or what I want to call man made ponds...lol....I'll include them into the next update i give y'all. I haven't had time lately, been fighting with work and getting home late and you know all that good stuff that happens when you're having a bad week. And here it is only wed. go figure... But yeah, no problem, I'll include a shot of those, thanx for the request...

Howdy once again everybody! Happy Easter to everyone, hope the Easter brought you everything you wanted!!!

Been a long time since I updated or even played for that matter. This city is called Cleo Cityway. I'm up to 132,000 something Sims (that is if my game saved before it locked up) This is my biggest city I have ever made, well, as many Sims as I have ever gotten. I have some more from this city later in another update, but here are the current pics right now.

getting very nice and very realistic, MsCharamut...a few towers with lots of of smaller buildings...kinda reminds me of a couple of the more successful communities in this area.

how is your airport usage on the island? i had thought of trying that a long, long time ago, but it didn't really happen...but with the ferry, that seems a good idea.
