Expand your city to another tile. Up or right. Give them the Ag and R$ in the new tile. 4.gif

Hi, I followed your suggestion and now the neighboring town is doing quite well.

I have no room to expand so I tried to establish a new neighbor for this town, but every single RDI level was as low as possible.. Like the r$, r$$, r$$$, c$,c$$... they were all hitting the bottom of the chart

    what do i do?

Well, there are indeed some things to do:

    > as kolnikov already stated, you can add education --> this wll l(in the long term) let your Ind-Ag demand go to zero, and increase demand for other industries. Also, the city will become interesting for wealthier sims.

    > then you may add parks (or anything that has a park effect, to be more detailed). Wealthier sims and commercial will be attracted by that

    > make sure you d have proper traffic connections between your cities and in the cities itself. Traffic congestions are nothing that our beloved sims are in favor of.

    > you might try to add a landmark, which will result in higher desirability around that landmark, so wealthier offices and sims might move in

    > and one more thought: have you watered your city? Unless you hae your city watered, ther will be only low-density buildings rising.

Once your demand for RES-, CO-  and C-$$ and $$$ goes up you might change the density of your zones to mid or high density.

The proberbly most simplest and most worthwhile way to get some more $$ and $$$ there is to plop a few parks there. put some schools hospitals and stuff in there if you wish, yet you may have a few strikes to deal with if your not careful though! if you want lots of rich folk, you could decrease taxes for them then they will be very intrested, that's if you've got the cash to spare to do so mind, yet looking at your screenshots, there dosen't seem to be much in the bank...

on a last note, thats a good bit of terraforming you've got there, it seems it would be quite intresing to build upon. was that a downloaded map, or did you do that by youself?
