Ventiseri (Grecco: ßεντισερι; Italian: Vintisari; French: Ventiseri) officially the Principality of Ventiseri (Grecco: 'Πριgιπατας τςςι ßεντισερι; Italian: Principato di Vintisari; French: Principaute de Ventiseri) is an extremely small, landlocked Principality on Atlantica Alba. The Principality shares a border with the Kingdom of Murcia to the south, Demetae to the north and east, and the Coregency of Movia to the west. The nation is dominated by the Ghisoni Basin, which cuts across the centre of the country and houses two great lakes, Lagoa Ghisoni and Lagoa 'Zalana. The country has a small population just over 640,000 people, most of whom live in the basin or the hills surrounding them. The Government of the Principality is led by Crown Prince Gabriel Bartenli and his aide, Francesca di Volterini, and the citizens assembly.

The Principality is home to a diverse culture with a mixture of Grecco and Western European traditions. The nation attracts many tourists and has been the centre of many National Geographic articles, which have crowned the small nation one of the best places on the planet to live. The nation is home to many events that revolve around culture throughout the year, such as the Talisas Music Festival, Esma Film Festival, and Esma Fashion Week. The nation is one of the richest in the world, and strict regulations by the government allow every citizen to have a well-paying job and access to healthcare and education. The country was ruled by a brutal fascist dictatorship in the early 20th century, that was only replaced by the modern government in 1979.

Otigia is a city in western Ventiseri, and is very close to the Movian border. It is located in the primarily french region of Bulamenda (French: Builamende), and is the capital city of this province. The city is the third largest in the nation in both population and area, falling behind Esma and Murka. The city has an extremely close proximity to the Ventisaran city of Esma, and the Movian city of Ottignies, and the three cities share a relationship not unlike that of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Historically the area was known as Ottignies by the Savoyards, and Otigia is derived from this name.

I'm sure everyone here is wondering how exactly you got that road/avenue to look like that. 9.gif

Another european styled CJ, and already it's not disappointing. Beautiful work on it.

Thank you for all the wonderful replies, they really are appreciated. 43.gif

Today's update features the main oracle of Otigia, the city that I presented to you all in the last update, this update is special because it gives you an insight into a major part of Ventisaran culture, religion.

Ventiseri is one of the few nations on Atlantica Alba that does not hold a christian dominance, like the neighbouring countries of Vercelli and Monte-Beausoleil, most people in the country are members of the Grecco Vercellian religion. The Grecco Vercellian religion is a complicated polytheistic religion that originated in the city of Delphi, Mare (now a part of Vercelli). The religion has Nine Dies (Gods) within; Nicosa, Messina, Avola, Hermes, Eros, Vesta, Ceres, Dionysos, and Minerva along with Six Madrès; Gaia, Rhea, Libya, Europe, Ionia, and Athknios, as well as Six Padrès; Cratos, Eros, Horae, Leto Morpheus, and Nike.

The gods are the fourth generations following the Titans and Olympians of Greece, followed by the Agatha who were finally killed by the Greccoians to gain control of Mount Olympus in Atridea and Mount Physus in Vercelli, the two most sacred places in the religion. Thos who climb Mount Physus are said to be forever blessed in the gods in the life afterward.

There are nine main oracles of the religion situated throughout southwestern Atlantica Alba, with seven being in Vercelli, one in Buesti and Ravoi, and one in Ventiseri. Each of the nine dies have their own oracle (Vesta's being located in Ventiseri), however smaller oracles are located in nearly every town for every day worship and prayer. Main Oracles host three Rheas who can supposedly communicate with the said gods, however scientists view this stage as a more hallucinatory stage from the gases that enter through the floor. Like those in Greece, Oracles in Vercelli, Buesti, and Ventiseri were built upon fissures in the earth that emit gas, and scientists agree that the gas gives off an LSD type high that the three Rheas then use. It is still believed that they have been selected by the Gods and still to this day are the most sought after ways of redemption.

The above article was mainly written by Luke (Amerikaner) as he is the original creator of the religion, and has allowed me to use the Grecco Vercellian as the main religion for Ventiseri.

The oracle located in Otigia is not the main oracle of Ventiseri, which is located in Esma, but is one used for worship and prayer in cities that are not home to a major oracle. Due to Otigia's relatively large size, the local oracle here is as well.

Another great public space. Looks cool and I am glad to hear that the classical gods still have a few friends left.

43.gif Thank you all for the fabulous comments, they don't go un-noticed. 36.gif

Today's update features the Montaggio (English: Ventisaran Citizen's Assembly; Grecco: Συναθρηση των Πολιτων του Βεντισερι; Italian: Il Montaggio del Cittadini di Vintisari, French: L'Assemblée du Citoyen de Ventiseri), which is the centre of the Ventisaran citizen's role in the government. To elaborate on this I will give you a little bit of background on Ventiseri's government.

Ventiseri is a monarchy, with the Crown Prince (or Princess) being the head regent, and sole ruler of the country. The regent is assisted by the Crown's Aide, which is appointed by the Crown Prince/Princess upon coronation. The citizens elect representatives to the Montaggio, where they can appeal to the crown for changes to be made in the country, however they have no real power, as the regent could deny everything they propose.

The Montaggio was established in the old governor's building when western Ventiseri was part of Movia. It was founded on 2 December, 1802, after the area around the cities of Esma and Otigia left Movian authority and joined the newly formed Principality of Ventiseri, which was formed from the former Kingdoms of Pylos and Boetia, and from Murcian Litvosalas (which is now the duchy of Litvosalas).

I hope you guys found this interesting, and please feel free to post, I can't update without you guys. 5.gif

Next time we'll head into the more rural areas of Ventiseri.
