Quick Question- What's the difference between making A CJ in the CJ section or in the CJ forum?

I'm not new... but I found no where else suitable to ask this-What's the difference between making A CJ in the CJ section or in the CJ forum? I would just like to know. Thanks!

You can put a CJ in both if you want, as I do.

I tend to think the CJ section is better because it allows people to read and see the CJ more easily. The whole system is focused around the CJ updates themselves - it gives each update a page, making them easier to read, and puts all the relevant comments under the update. It also allows people to then comment of previous updates, but still have their comments with the relevant update.

Generally speaking, I also think it is a lot less cluttered, removing all the signatures and buttons that the forums have.

The forums do allow you more control over what you put in your message, in terms of formatting and pictures (although I think if you copy the code from the forum, it will probably work in the CJ comment box too), but I don't think these are really necessary, as generally speaking, people don't use pictures when commenting on CJs.

They both have pros and cons...

I think the "new" CJ section, aka The CJ Section is cleaner, and you can reach the update you want from the CJ you want in a few seconds. It makes the task of following several CJs much easier, as the last updated ones appear at the top and they display the latest comments, which IMO encourages the feedback. As a con, I would say that A LOT of simtropolitans NEVER visit the CJs section and if you make one there, you have to be aware that you won't reach more or less the half of the users.

The "old" CJ section, aka The CJ Forum makes the whole CJing experience a little bit slowlier (always in my opinion) and if you've got to follow several ones, you have to look through all the last pages until the update you want. And then is the problem with signatures and pics as someone stated above... As a pro, I can say that your CJ will be seen by much more experienced players (some of them can be quite critical) and your updates and replies will increase your post count...

My advise: if you plan to run a CJ, do it on both sections. For a minimal amount of extra time, you will reach much more simtropolitans and you'll get more visits.

You can also post pictures in th CJ section. Personally, i prefer the CJ section because it is easier to read the CJ's, than in  the forum section.
